What he's failed to mention is the big do is his wedding
Sure his mrs will understand if he is watching match at alter. - gotta get your priorities right and set down the ground rules from the start not forgetting to amend the vows…
“I promise to love honour and obey the red and white wizaaards until death do us part”

It'd do fuck all to change the outcome. The more people who don't attend and watch it on telly, the higher the viewing figures. It'd have the opposite effect and the club would lose money.
Not if you dont pay for sky sports..Sky would make fuck all.

Dont give a shit who decides it..its fucking sat afters up so ive decided not to renew.I know many more who are doing the same.If everyone did the the same it might make a change.
Basically you want us to be shit so we aren't on sky as much. Go over to s6 they get on sky once in a blue moon...

My mrs has no problem with my relationship with the Blades.

When we were going out together in 1975 she asked me if we could go shopping tomorrow (Saturday) and I said "no, I'm going to Sheffield".

Her response was "you think more of Sheffield United than you do of me"

My immediate reply "well I've known them longer than I've known you"

That's still the case today and this year we will be celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary.

She's never once asked me to miss a game in the whole of that period so don't talk to me about setting ground rules early ;)

My dilemma for this particular Friday is between another hobby that is very important to me and a game at BDTBL.

Her advice "well it's up to you darling"

On this very rare occasion I think United are going to be second choice.

Another bloody game switched to a Friday night.

Forest now on 4th March k.o 7.45.

I have a big do on that night so now I have a very difficult choice to make.

Fucking wankers
No brainer pal. Get to united pal. But respect your big do.

Forest currently winning 3-0 against Leicester in FA Cup. The 5th round is scheduled for 2nd March. If Leicester are unable to fight back would that mean Forest will ask for the league match at BDTBL be played on the 5th instead?

Good shout. Not sure if they're all being played that night or just that week- could they play their FA Cup match the Monday or Tuesday instead? Either way good news- I hope they have extra time and pens and go all the way to the Final to play Middlesbrough. You knacker yourselves out lads.

Not sure Sky would be so happy after it has been changed for them to the Friday night only last week and they dicate things sadly.

We go to Huddersfield on Sat lunchtime after playing West Brom Weds night. This is less time than the gap between Tues and Fri that Forest would have to play.

They can't keep shuffling games round as there are not many mid weeks left. Think Forest will just have to get on with it.

I'd prefer Saturday 3pm but it might help us to have a bit of a break compared to an opponent. West Brom will have had an extra 3 days to prepare for us this week in comparison.

Saw the FA Cup 5th round draw on BBC during half time and it stated that the ties are to be played week commencing 28th Feb so It will be fine for Forest to play Huddersfield on 1st March then play us on Friday 4th

I maybe wrong but it saying fixtures to be played on Wednesday 2nd March that's all of themScreenshot_20220206-183143_Chrome.jpg

That also only lists yesterday for the fourth round, when it was spread over three days. there'll definitely be some games on Tuesday as well as Wednesday, probably one on Thursday and maybe even one on the Monday.

Our lass wanted us to get married in May my birthday, not a chance of that happening in the triple assault season when there might have been a cup final to go to. I did console her disappointment with a ticket to the semi at Old Trafford and lent her a shirt to go in what more could she want? We got married at the end of June and she knows to consult the fixture list before booking holidays and such.

I used to love night matches when I was back in the UK but now I pray that there are no changes from Saturday afternoon.
Saturday 3pm works great for me as the game is either 10pm or 11pm kick off (depending on daylight saving time). Even if I have been working, I have finished for the day (get home around 7.30pm) and I can come home, spend a couple of hours with the family before getting ready to watch the Blades on a stream in the comfort of my lounge (or out in the garden on the projector screen - watching the games on a 150 inch screen is AWESOME) with a few beers.
Night matches cause big problems for me as usually the kick off is 2.45/3.45am so I have to get up/stay up for it. Again this causes issues if I am working as I have to leave for work at 5.30am. Not great going into a 12 hour shift!!
Still. I haven't missed a game yet. The wife thinks I'm Mad!!
Fridays game was another example. We were away camping by the beach for my youngest's 10th birthday and whilst everyone else was sleeping, I was up watching the game. Fortunately I was able to relax by the ocean on the Saturday with beers.
SATURDAY 3pm all the way for me!!!
