Sharp 1 more year contract for next season for coming off the bench. McGoldrick, thanks for the memories but time should be up in the summer. Time to freshen it up and move him on. He's not the same player now than he was 18 months ago.

Brewsters missed 2 sitters and probably cost us the game but Didzys 20 minute cameo is the main concern. Jesus.

Hes far from being thd main concern but he is now on the list of them.

As for Brewster yes he's missed some guilt edged chances tonight but he's still young enough to come good for us and be a player. Importantly he is also going to be under contract for a few years yet whereas McGoldrick isnt. Brewster is who we should be persevering with now whilst Goldie should be phased out and let go in the summer. Tonight's result and or missed chances doesn't change that imo.

If we're still starting Sharp next season then we really are heading backwards. As much as a legend he may be for the club it's time to let go of the past and sentiment and say goodbye in the summer. He is not the future of this club. He's had his day and this season should be his last.

No sentiment on my part. I just think Billy could do a job for us next season coming off the bench for the last 20. He certainly shouldn't be starting though and he really shouldn't be leading the line this season either. Total shambles that we still have Sharp and McGoldrick playing up front as a pair.

He's taking up a shirt because he's Mr Sheffield United.
Everytime our team sheet is announced these days i just think stagnant leading to decay and so goes the cycle.
after 42 years of attending its all very boring.

Anyone whose contract expires is outta the door - we need the wages budget to go DOWN , the owners have made that a priority for Bettis & Hecky -
it doesn't matter if we're left with no goalies 5 leftbacks & 5 strikers , that's the target , wages down.

I know he's not up to it , but at least he cares ... once he's gone You'll then have a full set of disaffected feckers who couldn't give a shiny shit

I love Billy and Didzy to bits but you can see inconsistencies of performance creeping in that happens with age.

It's to be expected and shouldn't be seen as a criticism.

They've both had very good careers which has seen their ceiling at Championship level in the grand scheme of things apart from fleeting appearances in the Prem.

Both now in their mid 30s, it's unfair to expect a consistent level of performance at what is effectively their highest level, so late in their careers.

Both of them pose no threat.

When will we realise nobody else wanted them, and theres a reason why..

Sharp loves us, and so do I, but nobody wants me up front on Saturday..

Other than me. And I wouldn't score..

So no change there then.

I have no idea why, when we're winning a game in the last 10-15 mins. We have this habit of ensuring all of our oldest and slowest players are on the pitch. Teams trailing at the end of a game tend to throw caution to the wind, throw players forward and have their defence as high as possible. This leaves plenty of space in behind for anyone with even an ounce of pace to have a field day. Also gives us an out ball when under pressure.

Instead (and this isn't the first time we have dropped points doing this), we end up with sharp upfront on his own, McGoldrick just behind him and a flat midfield 3 and just invite pressure. Defenders are comfortable on the half way line knowing they aren't going to lose a race from the half way line to the goal with 35 year old Sharp and 34 year old Mcgoldrick.

What we should have done last night is leave either Brewster or Ndiaye on. If both of them had taken knocks and it was necessary for them to come off then Burke should have been on. what's the point in him even being on the bench if he can't come on at 2-0 up to utilise his pace in behind.

Every Blades fan knows this. We can all see it.

But the management do not.

Let’s be fair to Billy, he’s scored 7 and set another 6 up. If it weren’t for him and MGW, we’d more than likely be in the relegation spots.

Billy has at least another year as an impact player from the bench, Didzy thanks for the memories

Padded stats. How many pens? And wasn’t three of those assists in one game?
Billy blinkers on I think. He’s been garbage recently.
Think it’s 4 open play goals in 25 games now which is very poor considering he seems to play 90 minutes every game.
We need a huge clear out;
Diddz
Billy
Enda
Norwood
Thanks for the memories but it’s time to move on.
