Egan, Robinson & Basham played with 0 discipline when we were 2-0 up. Carried on bombing forward when there was no reason to. They caught us on the break a few times because of this & it gave them belief

I think he gets away with making a rick or two because of his attitude. But both him and Egan are part of an extremely fragile defence that not so long ago was one of the tightest in the Premier League.

As much as our fans love to bash the same players week in week out. Every player has hugely under performed this season.

There have been a number of problems this season, but the biggest one is not management or the board. As was the case when Jokanovic was manager, it's the players.

No one's above criticism but fuck me Basham was head and shoulders our best defender last night. Robinson is sub standard, Bogle can't defend for toffee, Stevens has done and Egan's form has dropped off a cliff.

For me it all goes back to that Barnsley game. At 3-0, I couldn't believe how blasé the defenders were about keeping a clean sheet. As long as we won, it looked like they didn't give a fuck if they conceded or not. A shocking attitude, and It's cost us in closer games (and nearly cost us then).

Good teams are not built on defences with a "eh, it's all good" approach to not conceding goals.

One of the basic requirements of any decent football team is the ability to win the ball back in a tackle. This team is drastically lacking in this ability and especially in a powder puff midfield. They can't tackle, win headers, or run aggressively with the ball. Until this area is addressed we will continue to ship goals. Oh and BTW this has been evident for the last 3 years.
