Also its amazing that Burke has twice gone for fees in excess of playere like McCormack and Fletcher who were proven goalscorers at the time.
True but Burkes fees were 5 and 4 years ago not todays. Amazing that so many teams have been taken in by his pace and physiqueI would put that down to transfer market inflation though to be fair.
If a peak McCormack was moving to Fulham off the back of being the league’s top scorer nowadays, he’d be well over £20m.

True yeah.
Leipzig definitely overpaid for him looking back. He burst onto the scene as a teenager with a purple patch which must have fooled their scouts. West Brom then overpaid for him based on him being at Leipzig.
Was thinking the same.Christ knows what Kenny Dalglish would be worth these days.
Peter Wright should be third based on that listOli Burke is the most expensive and second most expensive Scottish footballer actually born in Scotland. (Tierney IOM, Oli McB Leeds, Adams Leicester)
Unless you get transported back in time when Dalglish, Souness, Hansen, Andy Gray, Jordan, Strachan et al were available....oh and not forgetting Don HutchinsonThe conclusion is......don't buy scottish

As Scottish as Rob Roy.Not sure Adams should be on that list as he wasn’t Scottish at the time that fee was paid
Saw Dougie Brown's debut at Hull in a 4-1 defeat in an evening match. Strangely, he actually played well that night. Probably for the one and only time......Dougie Brown? How many bottle tops would he be worth now??
His debut was in the 0-0 draw at Oldham in March 1979. Us and Hull werent in the same division that seasonSaw Dougie Brown's debut at Hull in a 4-1 defeat in an evening match. Strangely, he actually played well that night. Probably for the one and only time......
