How many threads have felt the Mike325 stick overnight, many now seem to be locked!😬
He will be up in a few hours with a brand new hangover, phone at the ready to board the banter train again. I'd love him to be a real person, but sadly I think he's one of the massive on a "banterous" wind up.

What day is it today? When do the binmen come? When will the postie next turn up? When do I next have to go to work?
Stay in bed. Wait for the fireworks and get up when it is next light. Take the next two days off and then go to work saying hello to the postie as you go.
Don’t forget to put the bins out !

its a joke. i agree on this. i would give them the 1st because it can happen & be late notice. but hull have had 4 days to find a team. find it or forfeit. like Middlesbrough did in 1996.

between January & May theres only 10 midweeks available. at the moment a lower league club like us if they had a cup run will have to play to 7 extra midweek games. & where is the sympathy when they have play a rotated side because they are playing 3 times a week

I’m coming to the conclusion that it’s becoming far too difficult to support in person from a distance, not many games give me the confidence to book flights, with tv dictating changes to kick off times and days, and now this. Fortunately I can visit relatives elsewhere in the UK, but Sheffield hotel paid for now will now be forfeited, and I’ve got to even pay postage again to get a refund, on top of the disappointment of not being able to visit BDTBL until who knows when.

I can appreciate the reasons for the postponement, but it’s the cumulative effect of all factors nowadays that make it so difficult to identify an opportunity to schedule a visit with confidence. At least I got a days notice but it’s really disappointing.

If season can not be extended then all teams calling off games should forfeit the points.

The efl do have an app for players so they can track covid. Players show proof of a negative test upon entry to every single stadium on match day. So they also know how many players and specifically which players have covid. Therefore clubs simply can’t fuck it off. However they don’t know who is injured and would have to take the clubs word for it on injuries. Either way club has to have enough fit players, they can prove covid but not injured players.

My view remains unchanged. Something has to give. I don't want to see one team's 1st XI playing another team's U18s. I don't want to have forfeited games with points awarded. I don't want behind closed doors anti-football. I don't want four games a week in late April. The thing that I would like to see give is the completely arbitrary & made up season end date. The EFL should just commit to ....

Never more than 3 games in 7 days & if we have to extend the season to accommodate that, we will.

Isn't next season scheduled to start earlier than normal due to the ridiculousness of the world cup being in December?

So extending this season and even further shortening an already shorter than usual gap between seasons will probably cause even more issues

Managed to find or create a couple more covids, did they?

Weak as piss.

3-0 forget. Only solution to it.

It's just far to easy for these covid crybabies. The clubs are clearly not doing enough to prevent the spread. It's negligence and they need to start holding them accountable.

How would you prove this?

I don't get the accusation that clubs are encouraging players to get covid?

Yeah something needs to be done.

They should be forced to field the youth team. Middlesbrough got relegated a few years ago for not doing that.

Then watch the Lazarus style recoveries.

Alternatively why can't they rearrange fixtures so unaffected teams play unaffected teams (such as Sheffield United vs. Blackburn)

This season might just finish around July....I've always fancied summer football.

I've seen a lot of comments saying teams aren't playing cos they can't be arsed or cos we are in form.

Surely the EFL will require proof that the game can't be played?
It’s not hard to pull the wool over their eyes though, is it? It took them years to finally work out what Wednesday were up to.

So they can’t put together a squad of 14 players (EFL’s requirement) from the first team, U23s and youth team, or don’t want to? 🤔
