Exactly what I thought, I can't think of a better goal all season and that includes the Premier league

Superb goal. Drove forward with confidence, showed great pace to get away from the defender, agility to set himself and then fine composure to slot it into the bottom corner from range.

He's a confidence player is Ndiaye. An excellent display buoyed on by his early goal. On the flip side I've seen him have some poor games for us. To be expected given his age / experience, but I really hope he can put his head down now and show some consistency. Lovely talent and his workrate is great. Huge potential.

My initial reaction was the keeper could have done better, but then watching the replay and how he started it from outside the post and bent it inside the post, was sublime!

Agree on all of that. Main thing I like is tgat even when it's not really working for him he never stops running, wanting the ball or trying to create things

I was thinking this earlier Bert ; Almost like Adkins only redeeming act was re-signing Billy. Maybe in time we'll look back on Slav getting Ndiaye back in the picture as a similar/comparable thing.

A great run and finish. As pointed out earlier, at first look there are questions for the keeper but after replays you can see just how good a finish it was. Made it worth getting up at 03.30 to watch it before going to work happy!! Probably should be doing some work now..............
There is definitely so much potential in this kid.
He will get better with game time and playing alongside someone like Billy. He is still young and will have some spells where he is not as effective but one thing that seems to be constant is his willingness to run and work for the team.

Great goal but a terrible one to concede. At one point he knocked it a bit to far infront of himself and they failed to attempt a tackle

As has been mentioned elsewhere, the recruitment of young players has gone up several notches under Hecky & Lester. This is the second example, after Jebbison, and the plan for the future looks exciting to me. The next couple of seasons could be transformational as the likes of Peck & Arblaster continue to develop & mature.

The Eze goal against us totally transformed my feelings on goals like this. It's mostly down to poor defending that a player can run like that.

That said everything he did was good. Still think the MGW goal v Cardiff was better.

I think it depends who scores it. If Egan scores it, it's poor defending. But players like Eze and Ndiaye make defenders backtrack and they're back on the edge of their box before they know it, because Eze/Ndiaye can shift it past them if they commit to the tackle - in short they scare defenders with their body movement and showing them just enough of the ball to stay squared up.

It's a real skill, how many time do we see players check back. Love watching him run at defences and draw in more players! Good example of that when he should've slipped Bogle in after more players try to be the one that disposses him. Excited to see how he progresses!

can’t remember the last goal like that for us!

The more he plays the more insane it is that his contract was keeping him out of a side devoid of any creativity or spark.

whether that’s because he wouldn’t sign due to the obvious lack of opportunities under wilder or he just wanted too much for an unproven player we’ll never know.

but the fact he’s signed in the league below probably suggests the former. Remains to be seen if we can keep him long term but he’s been a revelation so far. For me he is On a level with brooks for how good he’s looked right off the bat.
