Unless they can prove they had less than 13 players they should be forced to forfeit and a 3-0 be awarded.

You can't just cry "covid" because you get the odd case when you happen to have injuries.

That said, if beating QPR is beyond us then forget about play offs.

It also gives Brewster, Olsen, Berge, Fleck time though. So it might not be the worst. It also means we have a good rest before Fulham.
They can because that’s what we’ve been conditioned with now… as I said, most probably tested positive but asymptomatic, chances are that others would test positive by tomorrow. They’re probably all feeling fine but isolating.

It’s the world that we now live in that elite athletes can test positive for a virus but can’t play in case they pass it onto other elite athletes that will also feel fine just in case they they come into contact with someone that may or may not be vulnerable.

Perfect time to get your pre christmas and new year mini break in and get players back, under COVID cover.

On the flip side, a win against QPR would / could have set us up perfectly for Fulham with momentum continuing rather than no game in 2 weeks and getting rusty (just like the international breaks)

I cant believe that people think that we should be playing a game of football when people's lives are at stake. Surely a simple postponement of a game should be welcomed if the alternative is letting the Omricon variant rip. Perhaps this postponement will finally get the message through to the anti-vax conspiracy theorists who haven't yet got their third jab. If you dont jab up, more postponements will surely follow

They might get points deducted if it turns out they are taking the piss but I don't see any precedent to suggest we will get given any points.

True. Though you can also argue that, having lost their last game, QPR might be a tougher nut to crack!

Nothing we can do. Rest is also good. Fulham away is the hardest game if the season so having extra time to prepare rather than less time than them isn't going to hurt.

I'd rather have points than games in hand but there is no guarantee of that.

Fulham drew with Luton so they are not fallible.

How's this? For all the analysis, we're certainly due a win there. So I'll go with that!

Remember when Boro got deducted three points because there was a bit of flu going round and they cried off? No difference here

If games are going to be cancelled for Covid cases we may as well have a January month break because loads are going to get it if it spreads as fast as they say. Man U game on Tuesday is in doubt due to Covid too.

Feels like we are now at quite a big crossroads for how society will go in the future. Covid isn't going away and if people have to isolate whenever they get it services l over will collapse.

And that’s a very sensible logic.

however, all players and staff are tested on a regular basis and have to test prior to games.

if 100% of the country was fully vaccinated (double jabbed) then it still wouldn’t make a jot of difference as the players are still testing.

and if they test positive it’s immediate 10 day isolation.

There have to be questions asked about footballers who test positive without being fully jabbed. At some stage, clubs are going to have to turn round and demand it.

Plenty of sides called games off for Covid and were “cleared” by the EFL “investigation”- Rotherham several times.

Theres plenty of precedent, so theres absolutely no chance they’ll give us the points. And lets face it, they’re not going to start getting tough by doing it to a London side are they?

I see people posting their theories of the state of people's health with nothing to go off at all. Weird.

Does feel as if the next few weeks and months sport will be one of the most disrupted areas by this new wave.

Manchester United, Spurs, QPR and now Villa all hit in the past week.

Who’s tested positive without being jabbed? If they’re young and fit athletes where is the risk for them health wise?

Huge number of people double jabbed and catching covid

Think it's Bayern who have had a few unvaccinated players get covid and one of them has suffered damage from it so is out for a while longer than just isolating

Quite ironic as their manager was calling for all players to be mandatory jabbed in this morning paper !

Obviously you can catch and transmit regardless, but the chances of either are reduced if you're fully jabbed.
I presume that the info on individuals remains confidential between club doctors and the individuals. I’m surprised that it’s as high as that.

if it becomes a condition of employment then it would be a change of contract. And any young elite athlete signing a contract which requires them to be vaccinated would be mad.

Chances of transmitting the virus not reduced by vaccination according to recent study reported in the Lancet (definitely not a conspiracy theorist nutjob publication):

LONDON Spurs game postponed COVID-19
LONDON QPR game postponed COVID-19
LONDON Fulham next week, is it save to travel to LONDON 😡🤦‍♂️🙏
