Today was a 50 per cent better all round display

played with the same 70 per cent possession but actually had some purpose
crossing was better movement was sharper
we wont get automatic but play offs are still a pòssibility if we can focus as well we did today

26 points from 20 games
average 2 points per game from now thats 52 more points plus 26 equals 78 which should provide a play off spot

what was the best to come out of today was the spirit, and a noticaable lift in confidence to attack

We looked like our old selves today, and along with the Peterborough and Hull games, that is the only time we have looked like a team good enough for the top 6.

Encouragingly. the clean sheets are now coming as well.

Keep playing like that and we'll be in the mix, but we can't afford many more slip ups now.

All feels a little bit premature, everyone was feeling like this when we stuck 6 past Peterborough but look how it turned out. There's enough in this squad, when they decide to turn up, to beat most teams in this league where there are certainly no teams to be fearful of. It's just about getting that out of them.
The signs are good based on the last 3 games where we've gone back to 3 at the back and been unbeaten without conceding which is unheard of this season. Everything yesterday seemed to happen about 10% faster than it normally does.

Got to say though, Bristol City and Reading were both crap and Coventry were there for the taking in the last 20 minutes. If we're still unbeaten on the other side of Christmas, then we can have reason to believe that this team is going somewhere.

Look, even the most pessimistic amongst us has got to admit the tide has turned a bit and for the better, look where we were a couple of weeks or so ago.
