Then going on about if we have top 2 ambitions we need to win these kind of games, but said it in a way that we'd just lost.

Then to top it off.... "Sheffield United are a top top side, top 6"

Grade A cnut.

So are his comments not correct ? I don’t get what you are saying. It was a must win (should win) game for a top 6 chasing team. I wasn’t expecting him to blow smoke up our arse after that performance so I don’t understand your problem.

Was he the co-commentator tonight? Thought he was very complimentary and also good at describing what we were doing tactically first half / second half, eg allowing Reading to have possession and drawing them onto us so we could exploit the space.
I thought the same, I presumed it was Goodman, but the the commentator said something about his playing career and he said that he was a Centre Half.

I was really impressed with the commentary last night, as you say, giving more info on tactics and how we'd intentionally allowed Reading more possession first half, but second half changed our set up to be more dominant in possession.

They had excellent knowledge of our tactics and stats from previous games. It was a much more informed and intelligent commentary than the usual which normally mentions Wilder having been ballboy, player and now manager and Billy being a lifetime Blade too.

He was extremely complimentary, the only criticism he had was that we didn't play in our normal manner in the first half and he felt that it was a waste of 45 mins from our perspective. In the end it turns out it was masterful game management by Wilder but I can see Goodman's point.

He's certainly not a critic of the club or the way we play and is he inaccurate in saying we are a top 6 championship club? Last time I checked 3rd place was within the top 6.

Cant stand Don Goodman to be honest he sounds like hes making it up as he goes along! As for the main comentator he said Mcnulty played a huge part in our promotion from league 1! Erm no he didnt as he was loaned out to Bradfud due to sharp and Leon being in good form and Hanson & Lavery as back up. Do your homework sky or fuck off ! UTB

"The Sheffield United I've come to know and love".

Yeah, he really hates us.

Never has a good word to say about us, and when he does act like he's got a good word to say its a derogatory one.

Today, all he was saying was we were lucky etc. Then going on about if we have top 2 ambitions we need to win these kind of games, but said it in a way that we'd just lost.

He's the type of signing we need in January.

Mean fucker up front.

Totally agree, thought Goodman was very complementary about us. Said there’s no doubt we are a very good side.

In fact I’m finding all a bit weird and almost sickening ha ha.
All the Sky pundits and commentators big us up going on about our beautiful revolutionary playing on the front foot football.

Often think opposition fans might be getting fed up how Sky keep telling the world how great we are.
Don’t know if I’m imagining it but for some reason they seem biased in favour of us.

To be fair there aren't many teams the commentator can say;

"Thats a forty yard pass from the centre half to the winger, thing is the winger is his fellow centre half".

Lovely, no wonder Sky love us.

Wasnt that Danny Higgingbottom?

Just re-watched the Goodman section, and in my opinion he summarised us honestly and accurately. I think he does like us, but knows when we don't play 'the Blades way'.

Thought he was ok, just seems like he and others haven’t twigged that we can’t use Duffy for a full 90.

Hence his comments about a poor first half, bringing Duffy on for the second half was a clear plan as reading tired he’d still have plenty in the tank, to be fair I’m relieved he hasn’t spotted it, and told everybody.

He's at it again. During the Swansea game he said on Sky 'its a three day camel ride from Sheffield to here for the fans.'
What's the cunt's problem??

Never got over that lob bouncing up and hitting the bar in front of the Kop.

In fairness, I don't think his comments are that bad.

Has he said anything that's inaccurate? He's absolutely spot on with his comments, we have been a disgrace for 18 months +

He has a bet on us to get promoted this season.

It seems the truth hurts to some of our fans.

We've won 5 league games and 4 of those are in the bottom 4 - and the other one, Stoke, were a posts width away from making it 2 nil before our 10 minutes cameo turned the game around.

It's not just about the players though - we're trying to play perfect football with imperfect players and a manager who wants to carry on game after game after game and not try and solve the problem. I suppose that's Ok if he is allowed to bring in more players to solve the crisis. Time will tell, but it's probably same against v Coventry - we'll dominate possession, we'll not put the game to bed with chances and Coventry will then be more effective with their 35% possession just like it's been for the majority of the season.

I am not his biggest fan but he is spot on with everything he says there, the players have it in themselves to be playing to a much higher standard, & the fact they are not is largely down to themselves.
Absolutely agree. Question is whether they're hearing the same from the management.

I saw a clip on instagram from Tyson Fury where he mentioned some boxers just turning up and getting it out the way and others who turn up with the sole intention of winning. Our lot are definitely the former.

Whilst some might take it as a personal vendetta - he's not wrong, we are the biggest disappointment in the division currently, pound for pound.

If not us, then who?

I think its all fair comment, and frankly even at his age i think he'd probably be better than some of our strikers and fitter than mousset.
