Proving what is possible if you fill the side with proper footballers. Ripping established 2nd tier sides apart, not been humiliated for 60 minutes by Walsall.

Now is the time to do it Danny, of course within budgetary contraints. Pass and move, possession, ability, cohesion, hunger and talent. It works, one player leaves, sign another who can pass and move and control a football. Simples.

Remember the days when they didn't used to publish league tables until the 5th game anyone?

A bit early for this. Southampton and Brighton could be mid table or lower in a few months.

What do you think he's trying to do?

Exactly what I want him to do, fill the side with footballers - this is just a gentle reminder that Collins Doyle, Monty and Cresswell are not my cup of tea! Seriously though, BHA and Soton are earning rave reviews for playing football which is entertaining and successful. I know only 3 games have gone etc and will be amazed if either finish in top 6 but I hope and pray we are where they are in 12 months time.

Aye, well aware it is early days, it's the style of football I'm concerned about. They won promotion and it is now working in a higher league. Monty Doyle Collins etc do not work in 2nd tier and I have huge reservations that they work in 3rd tier because as you say it is 3 games in.

They are both decent sides granted. Southampton have a bit more about them than Brighton I feel.

At the moment they would both 'out-football' us if you like but we are a work in progress.

The four players you mentioned haven't really put a foot wrong yet this season. In fact two of them have performed well (Collins and Cressy)!

We have won 4 out of 4 which imo shows you can play a bit of football and succeed with those players in the side. Just takes a good manager.

If this is merely a purple patch and things start to turn then perhaps I will be proved wrong, but so far it has been proved possible.

The would most certainly 'out-football' us Patrick - I'll give you that!

Wash your mouth out Mic. The we  hoof brigade will be searching the pubs on London Road on masse with shovels and picks. They'll string you up for promoting real football. Saints and Brighton were lucky ..... Look at Stoke, that is what we should be aiming for.

unfortunately these have all performed well , if not among the best

perhaps actually playing in their correct positios is making them look more capable
Danny has this nasty trait of playing wingers on the wing , centre forwards up front in the centre etc and we probably arent used to it
Cresswell was never ever a winger , till last season

Don't remember it being after that many games, but in the 1960s most of the Sunday newspapers published league tables after 3 games.

Sorry to say mic, but Monty, Cresswell and by all accounts Collins (though it pains me to say it) have been the spine of this short unbeaten run. Not sure they are all long term solutions for the season, apart from Monty. But they all prove that grafters and leaders are just as vital as the pretty footballers.

You do need grafters, but the thing that worries me is our lack of pace in all departments, but Danny is doing a cracking job at the moment and more power to him.

....been humiliated for 60 minutes by Walsall..

It's a shame we humiliated them for three minutes though. The 59th, 68th and 74th.

Still, we'll have to see where they are at the end of the season, rather than just three games into it.

Here you go Mic. http://www.thefa.com/GetIntoFootball/FALearning/Courses

Why not book yourself on. It should be breeze for a connoisseur of the beautiful game like yourself to get qualified, find a team to coach, and show us all how it should be done. Let me know when your first match is...

Nice one Duncs - pretty certain that Micadilly needs somewhere else to channel his copious amounts of spurious energy.

There is always one of the offshore wind farms being erected that could do with a large slice of rhetoric and bluster for a booster.
Makeadildo could potentially keep a small Cumbrian town going, I suspect.
