Our train back from Leeds on Saturday night was a little homoerotic.

A few Blades in their 30s were keen to roll around on top of each other in the aisles. At one point it seemed one was bent over a seat being dry humped.

They also appeared to smelling each others farts.

Always been a binary split in our fan base, especially when we’re playing shite. Whether it’s the ultra critical bed wetters or the blind loyalty of the happy clappers, the atmosphere has always been slightly fractious. But I really think the problem now is just plain loutishness. Me and my mate haven’t been to an away game since Brighton away (2019), but went on the train to Blackburn yesterday. Yes, it might be an age thing, but we were left shaking our heads at some of the general loutish behaviour of fellow Blades at the various stations, on the trains, in the streets outside the ground and in the ground itself.
It may be societal problem in general, but sometimes I’m less than proud to be Blades, especially at away games.

Does your (“in England”) multi cultural/ multi lingual enterprise employ anyone of say a differing point of view (perhaps) informed by their knowledge, understanding or (even) experience of (their) history?

Your understanding may be assisted by researching how / why (some) folk of (say) Irish or Iraqi or Afghan descent are “offended” (& more) by symbolism directly associated with the poppy irrespective of the 11th hour of the 11 day and (differing) interpretations of ‘freedom’ & ‘oppression’.

Alternatively / additionally you could consider exploring how respected (or as you term it “not offended’) (some of) those with links to the ‘Commonwealth’ (Empire) feel surrounding (lack of) recognition of their ancestors ultimate sacrifice that doesn’t even warrant an (individual) headstone.

(Perhaps) more contentious may be a consideration of how (any) German colleagues view ‘the fallen’.
