Now ive seen a lot of comments regarding the protest against Danny Wilsons appointment and id like to take this opportunity to set the record straight, at least from my personal stance and from at least a few others there that day.
I personally didnt go there to protest at the appointment per se, i turned up to attempt to fathom the reasons behind such a controversal appointment, especially knowing at the time how low fans felt after relegation and the fact McCabe had never been so low in fans esteem, also wanted to hear, not just the press release spin from the club but the actual people involved and what they had to say.
i have to admit i wasnt too happy by the appointment, but after talking to and listening to wilson, morgs and even mccabe i was more than willing to go into this season with an open mind and give them time and support, because what i heard that others who weren't there gave me a little hope and belief that even tho wilson might not have been the majority of fans choice, i heard enough to convince me of wilsons belief that he could and would actually like to take the blades back where they belong and im sure brownie and a few others think similar and the small minority that were so closed minded as to protest just because he played and managed the S6 boys, didnt hear the bitterness in his voice when questioned about his wendy connections.
wilson has said many times "A clean slate" and i agree, we should all, fans, players, board and all get behind the blades.
As for a few asking brownie why after he refused to renew his ST, the reasons that he then did renew, well as the song goes "na na na na hes a blade and hes a blade"
and i personally say well done brownie for admitting the blades come first, personal feelings about the running of the club a poor second
