Just one question what have they enough of that they aren't showing now? Just asking,genuine question.
 



I've only said yes as I think there's three worse teams than us and Derby got the points deduction.

This current lot is reminding me of the 10/11 team, we only kept our head above the parapet in the first half of the season thanks to having Andy Reid on loan until Christmas then sunk without trace. For Andy Reid read Morgan Gibbs-White. If he goes back in Jan we're f***ed, unless we get a proper manager in (Warnock or Wilder will do).
 
As it is this team has relegation tattooed on it's arse. Stoke are the only decent side we have beaten. Anything above the bottom 5 or 6 and we struggle, I dread to think what we would be like should Gibbs White get injured or recalled, him and young Ndiaye are the only bright lights in this team. We are one or two injuries from certain relegation not because we have no quality but because we have no energy, fight or professional pride in the team. Sad to say this lot have mostly turned into a bunch of cowards who are only going through the motions. My betting is they take more care looking at their bank statements than they do playing football.

I admit today was the first time this season I walked away from a ground annoyed rather than just a bit disappointed and frustrated.

The full backs were torn to shreds, some of our marking abysmal, weak tackles, and regularly gave the ball away to be hit on the break.

However, despite a poor team performance we scored one goal and missed at least 3 sitters.

People are blaming the manager for various things but Sharp and Mousset seem to be dodgy any criticism today.

If we carry on like today for several more games then the manager will struggle to keep his job but that's still a big if.

The reality is that this week has seen one bad performance.

Blackpool and Forest both contained elements that show our need for improvement in certain areas but neither was comparable to today.

A squad which on paper should have had a shot at the play offs.

Well, they're going to get us out of the division alright.

Ship em out but to who? The likes of Gainsborough and North Ferriby perhaps

Unfortunately we have all seen situations like we are in unfold under our noses, usually with a killer twist at the season end. If like me you're holding tight and waiting for something to happen in the JTW. then it's going to be an uncomfortable ride till then. If things don't change then we're in trouble, but like the old saying, bought the t shirt etc. its the Blades wewer

Slav is famed for having a fantastic 2nd half of the season.
We’re playing some good football dominating most matches.
For example I spoke to several Blackpool fans after the match….they said they were very impressed with us
Said only Bournmouth and us have looked higher quality than them this season.

The big problem that’s holding us back is the defence and Slav has never been known for organising a defence.
He’s an attack minded player who lets goals in but tries to out score the opposition.
We’re far too good for the teams near the bottom but any decent teams our leaky defence means we probably need to score 3.

So at the moment, it’s looking like a nothing season…hate to make a sensible but boring prediction…but it’s probably going to be a mid table finish.
We’ll need to have one eye on next season so do we keep Slav to let him build or get rid, rip it up and start again.

Valid overview. Still sense your overly optimistic that Slav will have a transfer fund to allow him to do his typical second half of the season miracle at BDTBL. Hope I’m proven wrong.

Spot on.

With the exceptions of Bash, Billy and O'Connell. The team that finished 9th in the Premier league won't for me be remembered as our best team in decades. They will be the bottle jobs that blew this clubs best opportunity ever.
 



The lap of 'honour' after the final home game of the season could be interesting if things continue.
Re-run of the 'Adkins Thanksgiving', anyone? 🙄

So if we are not well clear of it in February/March we'll go down.

I said our relegation season would be next season, not this.

But I'm starting to get that feeling, this season has that all too familiar feel about it.

Slav will be gone soon, he'll be replaced by a hoof it merchant, and then we might get back to our usual ugly, boring, totally unskilled, Kevin Blackwellesqe selves again.

We might survive then, but it'll be God damn awful shit for the rest of eternity

well if we cant finish above derby barnsley and peterbro were definetly going down but it wont happen mid table this season big clearout in the summer and we go again
 
One of our problems is we are the kings of 'fuck up' at the season's end
Older Blades will remember Chelsea both 1968 and 1994, plus Walsall 1981

Forgive me for being pedantic but isnt relegation fundamentally predicated on “the bottom three (being) so bad” ie worse than the other 21😉
