Listened to him carefully on P&G. Didn't understand a word he said. Never do. His English is sooooo poor. Speaks in riddles. Makes you wonder how the hell the players understand him. After today they must have failed to understand his instructions that football is actually played for 90 minutes!. Failed to play for last 30 mins. V frustrating both the team & manager!

Heard someone in the toilet after saying it was because Slav wasn’t English. As if we’ve been wildly successful under all the English managers we’ve had…

We’re crap because we are soft and don’t take our chances. We’ve been like this for almost two years, so I’m not sure how Slav being Serbian is affecting this.

I've been ranting about the players again so I'll leave a more measured post here: I imagine he is understood, if the top brass were that concerned they'd have a translator a la Bielsa with him. Slav needs a transfer window at least. He has started to get the team scoring more so that part of the system is clicking. However, defensively things are a mess. Slav needs to switch things up somehow (finding a towering centre-back with Championship experience would be a start) plus many players don't have the run through brick walls and put your body on the line attitude that made the team so miserly in the first place. I want opposition strikers hearts sinking in the tunnel thinking 'how am I going to score against these twats??' again.

I could never understand Dave Basset, kept going on about Christmas, in August.

Always thought Chris Wilder was a bit poor in his interviews, always getting tongue tied and lost in his answers.

His English is fine, he's got an accent.
No problem.
