What is our biggest problem ?

We are slow, weak, nesh, small and are seriously lacking goal scoring creativity

Has Slav's bottle gone? What I mean is: is he in the process of shaping the squad to ultimately have a better team playing attractive football and calmly taking the flak because he knows it will come good, or has he decided that playing the old favourites will just about get us enough points over the season to finish "respectable"?
I heard a lot of talk from Fulham fans about a slow start and then a dynamic end to their season, and I could accept that - stick Brewster and McBurnie (or whoever) in and lose the next 5-10 games, but then have a brilliant team that can play attractive football and smash the last part of the season, a few additions and we get promoted the season after.
Is he listening too much to the critical fans? The Board and players have no goodwill in stock to ride out the storm, but I thought Slav would have the stomach to not tune in.
We are having the predicted slow start, but I can't see anything to give me hope that there's some dramatic culture shift that will change our style.
I could be wrong, this formation and style could just be temporary while Slav and the coaching staff are working their magic behind the scenes and will unleash the fury in a few months time.

If you know take the games following the international break there has been a marked Improvement. The midfield have definitely started to boss that area. However 4 at the back is causing huge grief at the back. They need to get used to it and the 2 in front of them need to step up and play more as a unit. Although against Boro they didn't do too much wrong just two well taken goals.

The real issue apparent on Tuesday night was the lack of the link between midfield and Billy (as he was the only striker), no runs behind, no threaded passes just back heals and flicks in the area outside of the penalty area. The penetration of the penalty area really needs to be addressed. With Slav being an attacking coach he will be working on that.

I see no need to panic other than working on the back four and two on front if them and some more ideas on how to penetrate the penalty area.

Berge money in first. Only saleable asset we have

His injury record is now starting to become a major worry. He missed all of last season and, so far, half of this. Nobody is meeting his release clause at £35m. They'd be crazy to take that risk.

In fact, we're now at a stage where breaking even on him would be a surprise (and probably a welcome one given club finances).

An enforcer in the midfield. A play maker for the midfield. A cuddly toy for the...wrong game. Sorry.

We’re shite sometimes good every now and then fxxkin great occ that’s the blades way

if were going to play 4231 one of the 2 pivots in midfield has to be the enforcer to break up play and protect the back 4 we cant play this system with norwood and fleck there
Id stick Guedioura between Norwood and Fleck as the holding midfielder(enforcer)
because of his experience.

Given that our defence looks shaky at best , we are lightweight in midfield and only have one striker out of six that looks like scoring , what do people think is our weakest department ?
It does look pretty daunting doesn't it. My view is that with the change to playing Ndayie and MGW, we generally look more threatening going forward, I'm hoping Tuesday was just an exception to that. Centre midfield doesn't look right and I do wonder if Geddy sitting in there might change how weak we look and allow a platform for others to play, and protect the back four.

In short I think it's the whole system / balance that isn't right rather than one area. Do we have the personell to fix that at the club now? I guess Slav has to keep tinkering and see. If not we stumble on until January

Too many players too comfortable with losing. This has eaten away at and destroyed every value we stood for. A husk of a club right now.

Bring back Mousset. 5 minutes of pie fuelled goal freenzie in the 85th minute!!! golden!

definetly need a defensive midfielder if were going to play a back 4 especially in away games we might just get away with it for home matches

Look down the spine of the team, that's where the problem is.
In Olsen.
Davies/Egan
Fleck/Berge
McBurnie/Ndiaye

It really shouldn't be.
But with the midfield pair not playing or not being on form, and none of the strikers forging partnerships, you're probably spot on!

Our biggest problem is £50m of MB strikers who frankly are utter shite. We might get 10-15m for them if we are lucky (Brewster, Mousset and McBurnie?

Meanwhile the grandads are our only help with hopefuly a sprinkling of GW and Ndayie (or however you spell the kids name).

Is it only me that despairs at some of our fans?

Every decent team has a midfield enforcer, someone who protects the defence wins the ball and then gives it to someone who can use it.
we do not tackle the opposition until they approach our penalty area
Spot on you won’t get that with the invisible man or 40yd pass

We spent too much money on horse shit players.

Too many players have peaked at the same time imo. Stevens, Fleck, Norwood and possibly Baldock been good players for us but look past it now they seem to make too many mistakes and aren’t impacting games. Also players like Burke, Foderingham, Verrips, Robinson aren’t good enough at this level, then our in form players if you like are loans, younger players that are inexperienced or veterans that haven’t got the seasons legs anymore like Sharp. In addition with players shot of confidence like McBurnie, Brewster or injury prone ones like Mousset plus on back of a horror season like last season where confidence must be at an all time low and new manager/back room staff new ethos. So it’s a rebuild process it won’t be a quick fix either.

We have two teams of average players with only the loan players who we will lose next season offering anything above average. We have a totally unbalanced squad and do not have one midfield player capable of either putting a foot in or bossing / controlling the match.
