According to derby's forum quite a few blades got arrested did anyone see owt,the derby fans reckon loads of coins were thrown aswell.

Pre-match 10 or so teenage rams got followed from the Roebuck down towards the Red Lion by 20 or so Blades. Loads of posturing and gobbling off but didn’t see any physical stuff. They all disappeared in the direction of Howard Street. Couple of coppers around but they couldn’t do owt due to the numbers.

Saw one bloke rowing with the coppers opposite the Cricketers, they told him clearly to back off, he didn’t, so he got squirted. When we got to the Albion a lad was walking in and wiping his face with his shirt, looking like he’d had some free pepper spray; two lads walked out to meet him and one of them asked if we were Derby fans. My reply of “No we‘re fucking not, why?” seems to appease him, but he was a scrawny little runt who looked like he couldn‘t lift a full pint up.

A few bits kicked off at St Mary's gate and on the road to the station, apparently.

It’s certainly a change from the 1980s when the BBC used to run about and occasionally get as close as 10 yards to the opposition idiots.
Didn’t see/hear owt - came out of the BLUT then down BL and the underpass to Decathlon, lots of police and all very calm.

One of the arrests on Bramall Lane.

Yeah, there was a few exchanges after the match (as both sets of fans moved towards the station/town), down BL. The sex offender chants made things a bit more tasty.

Just a few but loads more just cba going through it all.

Revo jr saw some Blades fans get arrested and one get pepper sprayed after the game on Bramall Lane.

Yeah I saw that as I was leaving the ground. The Blades and the SYP having a bit of a tussle.

I heard a united fan got jumped by like 20 derby fans and then it all went off

You wait it won’t be long before they will be clicking off on a prearranged Facebook group designed purely for the cyber hooligan

They do need to start having a better think about how they manage that away end. Letting them all flood out at the same time is asking for trouble. Its happened loads of times before and will continue to do so. There's literally always trouble on that stretch from the Cricketers, past the petrol station and into the subways.

was about 10 meters behind around 5 lads who looked about 16 years old, walking past petrol station/cricketers after game, started anti-derby chants, derby fans didnt bat an eyelid, policeman definitely took exception though when the young blades started to move towards the DC fans, giving it the big un. copper punched one of them in the face and tackled the others to the ground, police horses involved, escalated quickly

But it helps justify a larger police presence at games and backs up SAG criteria. Not that Im at all suggesting that this is some sort deliberately policy.

You can thank the human rights act (not SYP) for that, I'm afraid. :)
