Blades hive mind:

When was the last time a United player successfully dinked the keeper, ie one on one and taps it over them? The Fleck miss has me wondering.

One of Billy's goals v Wigan 4-2 was definitely a dink, but he wasn't exactly through one-on-one. Great goal though. One of Norwood's finest pings.

Billy Gillespie. It hit the top of the bar and went over though.

Ironically Billy was also the last United player not to hit the first man from a corner.

Fact.

Everybody knows that when one on one with the keeper, you blast it straight at him, giving him the optimum chance of saving it.

Anything else requires technique and brains

I am still annoyed at Fleck for neither blasting it or squaring it for a tap in.

But would we have then pushed for a 3rd?

I think so as still plenty of time left and although we weren't at panic stations when Berge scored you would have hoped more opportunities would have come if Fleck had scored it.

Clarke did it in the 2-4 at Hillsborough and again against Hull the week after when he scored 4.
