Obviously we all have a connection with Billy but my extra one is we are the same age and went to the same school.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't know him but when he retires I will be older than everyone in the squad and that feels a bit of an odd moment. I will probably never support a Blade thats older than me ever again.

When I was a kid I grew up idolising the likes of Edwards and Morris, which isn't unusual for a young kid I suppose. Billy Sharp gives me that same feeling and I'm a grown man

McGoldrick is a week older than me, so it's just those two and Guedioura, I think.

Guedioura will be the last one we sign who is older than me, I'm pretty sure.

Nice little homage to Bill. Strikes me as quiet laidback, but I'd imagine that amongst his team-mates he's funny and willing to help anyone who's in need of a few words of advice.

Good bloke is William Sharp, and let's hope he's able to play his part for a few seasons more.........and yes, a statue is something that doesn't need consideration, just build the bugger!

He’s given us so many memories but hard to top that goal v Bournemouth, it meant so much at the time and set us up for a memorable season.

I’ll never forget it and will always be greatful to Billy for that moment, as well as plenty of others he’s given us. Legend

If wilder played him in premiership instead of spunking millions on strikers that couldn’t get close to lacing his boots. IMO we would still be in premiership today. I’ve been blessed to meet him in person and chat with him regularly through our kids playing football true gentleman lives for football his family and his one true love Sheffield United
