When you're a goal up in a tight game, don't do the following:

  • Shout "olé" after we string 3 passes together.
  • Sing the god awful "take you're time Sheff Utd" song
  • Applaud players taking it into the corner.
We got exactly what we deserved. Good night.

Whilst I share your dislike for the above, not sure which of it constitutes "we got we deserved".
 
Yeeeeeeah, I'm not sure the "ole's" put Robinson off his header.
 
I've said this before, I hate the time wasting, it actually seems to achieve fuckall of the sort. Take into corner, waste 3 seconds, give it away, oppo attack...

What's the point, particularly when the oppo have more men pushed forward. Plenty of chances we had in the final 10 where we could have gone for the kill and played this stupid run to the corner and give it away crap.
 
As soon as I hear an 'ole' I'm in the kitchen putting the kettle on. It's only going one way for us.

What about giving a silly foul away in your own half so the opposition can hoof the ball into your box?

They spent 70 minutes time wasting and it looked like we would be soaking up a late push. Especially with PNE winning a lot of the physical challenges.

Us wasting time at 2-1 is dangerous, we don’t have the quality, it’s risky and you can easily end up like we did last night. Why not push for a third, we were getting on top. 2 points thrown away

Said this on the way out… for all the talk of formation and tactics etc. When you look at it we don’t do the basics well intact we are awful at the the basics …

I always find it a bit embarassing shouting ole after you string 3 passes together against Preston or Peterborough. Do it against Barcelona or PSG, go for it.

A bit like when fans sing "we're by far the greatest team, the world has ever seen" ..... while watching Tranmere or Rochdale.

Spot on. The amount of times a player loses it quickly when taking it to a corner is more than most. And you can guarantee the opposition then counter really quickly from it. It’s even more annoying when there’s a chance of an actual decent attack but they head for the corner.
 
It is just basics,keeping the ball,stop crosses coming in,don't give away cheap free kicks in the last few seconds of defending a goal lead,it's a free hit to them.Giving the ball away,leg waving at crosses and cheap late fouls in tight games have annoyed me for decades,but they still do it and wonder why they concede.

The time wasting annoyed me - there was at least 2 opportunities I remember where we could of driven into the box but instead chose to go into the corner or time waste and it cost us

How we conceded was irrelevant: them scoring late on after our antics was almost inevitable.

So fans of the late 70s Liverpool side, or late 60s early 70s Ajax, go for it.

When I attend a soccer match I watch quietly and with decorum. Occasionally giving a polite clap or informing the referee that he should have put his spectacles on.
 
We have managed to time waste for ages in games by passing it backwards and forwards across the back.
Taking the ball into the corner when there is a clear opportunity to push into the box and create / take a chance should be rewarded with a hedgehog being shoved up your arse. Especially where there are 3 or 4 minutes left. It’s not like it was seconds. Even so, have a go for fucks sake. A third goal kills the game. I’m not advocating throwing caution to the wind but fuck me.
