A beast going forward? How many crosses did he beat the first man with today and how many times did he get past freeman In the 1st half. Granted he got forward more in the 2nd bur a beast come on. People need to take the rose tinted glasses off at times with our youth prospects, for me he's bang average at best.

Bang average? Come on now

🤣

Wales must be shit to keep picking him for their squad.

He got caught out several times defensively and offered nothing going forward. His crossing was ridiculously bad.

Like I said it's one bad game but he barely did anything right tonight

You aren't directly answering the question which says enough for me anyway. Why was RND shocking? BTW, I religiously listen to BP and really enjoy it but 'shocking' is not what RND is. That's a knee jerk take - you're usually better than that!

He hasn't impressed me at all so far. I'll hold my judgement till he's got a proper CB alongside him though.

Hang on….words like shocking regarding his forward play are simply unfair.
He pushes on, runs full pace with the ball and looks for an early cross. He put 2 or 3 great balls in that were either missed or just defended well. Granted he’s not consistent and lacks the ability and pace to beat a man 1v1 but he’s not that bad.

It’s the defending he struggles with in a 4. We’ve not seen Enda in a 4 yet so that might be fun too!! Saying that, Egan is hardly solid as a rock in a 4 either!!

To be fair to RecordBreakers I’d probably agree with him. Norrington Davies isn’t great, but he isn’t shit, so yes, he’s average.
His crossing was atrocious tonight, and his overall game was poor. He’s had decent games and poor ones so far. He’s not been great in any and not really had a stinker. He’s pretty much the definition of average. Thankfully he’s still young enough to improve. Unfortunately we don’t have another fit left back to enable us to send him out on loan again to make his mistakes and learn elsewhere.

He was very poor. I don't rate Freeman but Norrington-Davies did him no favours tonight, on a couple of occasions it looked like he deliberately eschewed the overlap for no reason I could discern, leaving Freeman twisting in the wind.

Exactly pal this is my point, he's not shit not at all that is Robinson but he is an average player, still got alot of learning to do like you say, being a fullback these days is no easy task.

He's been average in the games up until tonight. This evening he was very poor.

Wrong side of his man several times, slow and lacking end product.

RND is a beast going forward, occasionally iffy going the other way.

We just need Davies in urgently. The left side will be much sturdier defensively then.

I honestly cannot believe how long LCB has been an issue for us.

The left side has looked much better with RND and Davies.

Robinson is borderline like playing with 10 men. I was prepared to give Robbo more time since his decent game against Everton and under a new manager but he is making the same errors under 3 different managers.

I didn't say he was shocking, I said he was shocking tonight which he was. I can't really say anymore than he was caught out several times positionally and gave the ball away almost every time he went forward. His defensive performances was summed up when he got a yellow card after once again getting the wrong side of his man

I'm really struggling to think of what he did right.

RND is still better than the very out of from and unlikely to regain form Enda Stevens.

Decent going forward but not the best positionally. Only a youngster so plenty to work with. Think Enda if he can get back to top form gets the shirt back.

Unusual definition of "decent." He was atrocious tonight with the ball at his feet and that had nothing to do with "being next to Jack Robinson."
Every cross hit the first man, when he tried to take his man on he was shrugged off the ball pretty easily. Everything he did lacked quality. The only positive I would give him is that, unlike Baldock, he does at least attempt to take positive actions, even if the execution is poor.

I'm not sure I see much of an upgrade on a really bad Enda Stevens, a very weak Max Lowe and an out of position Ben Osborn. Shame we let Kean Bryan go. For all his faults his delivery was often excellent.

I'm genuinely struggling to see what you aren't getting. He WAS shocking tonight but that doesn't mean he IS shocking as a player. Ronaldo was shocking against us at The Lane in 06 but obviously he isn't a shocking player.
It's not difficult, I disagree that he was shocking tonight. Bringing Cristiano Ronaldo into it would appear more random but there ya go.

That's absolutely fine! The only thing I took issue with is you saying that I said RND is shocking which I didn't. I thought he was awful tonight but as I said in my first post on this thread that was his first poor game for us.

Said before, after watching the televised Stoke games last season, he wouldn’t be the answer.

He wasn't, but opinions are like arseholes as they say. Enjoy.

When playing in a 4 the primary objective is to defend. Going forward on Saturday RND looked good but Posh still got round the back of him 3 or 4 times. Tonight he cost us the first goal losing the runner behind. Not helped by having another full back playing alongside him as a centre half. Both are currently the weak links in our team and were responsible for both goals conceded tonight. Add in Egan having to play 5 games in 10 days and it illustrates how weak our cover is in this area.

seems decent but his link up with freeman tonight was atrocious. don't play them together again please.

Well, it's all subjective isn't it. I thought he was dreadful tonight. Our worst player after J Robinson. He was truly woeful with the ball.. If that makes me an arsehole in your opinion then I'm very comfortable with that.
