I presume we're charging Derby even more that that in a few weeks as it's a category A* games? £35 on the kop

That's very poor from the club.

I would never wish for the crowds to stay away, but it would serve the board right if the turnout was low tomorrow.

1500 at £25 = £37,500 or 1200 at £33 = £39,600 you know which the accountants will choose

£27 Hull away on Saturday for us. Perspective and yes, overpriced for away Tuesday night match Vs Preston for their fans. There should be a cap imo of c £22.00 this season for away matches.

Glad to see so many on here calling out this obscene pricing. I know it was also an issue when we played Huddersfield too.

I think £27 at Hull is worse, given that it’s on TV.

I see prices on the Kop are £32 too. Can you still get a discount for membership, and if so how much is it?

What’s the problem, same price as home fans…. tight gets..

It's a chicken and egg situation with the clubs choosing the pricing, quite rightly Preston think it stinks to high heaven, but we know what to expect on boxing day then (is it? I'm not looking that far ahead) when we travel in numbers, and we will, weather permitting.

The chairmen have clearly had thier heads together on this, setting pricing which provides good revenues based on 2000 ish away fans per match... Some will be higher, some lower, it'll average out..

Is this something which allows them all to control thier budgets?

Only losers are the fans...

A Preston fan making the mistake of using the words ‘lots of’ and ‘fans’ in the same sentence.
Absolute nowter of a football club. I hate the championship
I’ve no axe to grind with Preston. I enjoyed seeing Tom Finney,. A loyal one club man and like many other clubs who have fallen down the pecking order, the buggers have done summat we haven’t In recent years, Graced Wembley in a cup final

Or maybe set the price high, in case of possible Covid restrictions during the winter?
1,000 x £33 = £33,000. That’s based on less turning up due to price, or away fan allocation capped at 1,000 or it could even be 500 later in the season? 500 x £33 is much better than 500 x £20.

I think sometimes the onus is on us home fans to publicly criticise the club for £33 away ticket prices. £20 really is plenty and you’d get a full away end and the local economy pumped. I can only think that the security and policing is that high we have to charge maximum prices? Away fans always seem to see sheffield as ‘proper’ away day and to an extent they’re right, we’re very lucky in the regard, so they get boozed up all day and start aggro here more than at most grounds. Coupled with the fact we have our own element and SYP being like they are and you have maximum costs involved.

“Sheffield United depriving your city of income from extra away fans eating and drinking – and preston have lots of greedy, alcoholic fans. Well done”

Wouldn't be surprised to see us roundly condemned by the council for the 30 or so unsold burgers and two dozen pints of Carling. I just hope this doesn't bankrupt the city. I can see huge council tax hikes on the horizon because of this.

Our prices are shit for anyone who just wants to watch the odd game but season tickets were decent value, other than Saturdays game our home games haven't been worth a quid a game
