As Cha quite rightly says, it’s ridiculous to not have a single midfielder come into this club almost 3 weeks into the window, it’s a complete shambles.

Trouble is if Swansea go up he is likely to stay and move permanently from Villa. If we go down the clubs that come up will also likely to be sniffing around.

He is odds on to want to stay in the Premier League if an opportunity arises.

I can’t believe we didn’t make a big push. And for what it’s worth I think he’s plenty good enough for the PL, just not as good as Douglas Luis, McGinn, Grealish or Barkley. Which isn’t really a stick to batter him with.
