CW has a lot to answer for

Ye still think the same argument applies but anyway
What arguments that then? I said anybody can take the exams but doesn't mean they know anymore than the man who's been sat watching football for 60+ years. I've got a long way to go before I've watched football for 60 years so highly unlikely I was saying ME which is what you implied.

Slav has fucked up the start to his United tenure despite being left the best squad in the division. We looked better today because he swallowed his pride and reverted to 3-5-2. The shit pre season that left our players on their knees today has nothing to do with CW btw. Get real, and man the fuck up!
are you undercover for our Board ?

Best squad in the division what absolute tosh
Yes it looked better today but the best squad in the division still looked the same as last season inadequates playing the “old” system

getting this group ( the best in the Division ) to play expensive confident football after the last 18 months of rubbish is asking for a miracle

these players are shot half the team have come to the end of their 4/5 year cycle of peaking

Agree but he failed to get a tune out of this team for the last season and a half. The fact he was so niave in the transfer market is what has caused this and you or anybody else can't deny this. Look at Brighton Burnley spent no where near we did.
He had 5 bad months.

He had a 9th place finish in the Premier League. Followed by a bad half season before he was gone.

Brighton spend big year on year.

I mean he did the best for the club, based on his knowledge and experience. Which is bigger and better than all of ours combined

I also mean that behind all of the so called “pile of shit” is a story and it doesn’t and shouldn’t all point to the man that took us from league one obscurity to the verge of champions League… sometimes the truth never comes out fully. Sometimes you know enough…

sometimes you just don’t blame everyone bitterly and we move on. We move on because it’s better for everyone. We move forward when we do that.
Jesus, you sound like Donald Rumsfeld

He’s certainly not daft ol’ Chrissy. What a shower of shite he left us with. He saw the iceberg and like a rat, jumped ship.

I’ll never forget the good he did but I hate the bloke now. SJ is up the creek and until he brings in who he needs nothing will change.
Brilliant. Another thread about Wilder and how he’s fucked us despite not being with the club for months and months.

How long is Wilder culpable for before it sets in that there’s been a huge amount of time to shift deadwood and get new players through the door.

how long will it be before some actual blame is laid at the feet of the board for lack of incisive movement and SJ + his staff for ridiculous decisions, poor substitutions, and weak tactics? I mean what the actual fuck were those substitutions today? Berge was blowing out of his ass from the 60min mark. We weren’t creating anything clear cut but let’s swap out lwb position? Who the fuck does Freeman have to suck off to get more than 15 mins on the pitch?

I’m fine with landing some of this at wilders feet but get a grip and lay some blame at the current staff as well. It’s not going to be sorted over night but there is some basic shit being missed at the moment and bizarre management choices.

Its hard to watch at the minute. Lets not forget the ride we had with Wilder and some of the players who are getting loads of shit now. Norwood, Fleck, McGoldrick. The team needs freshening up yes but don't call these frauds ffs you enjoyed them when the times were good.

I Have been watching them for over 60 years and its sad we are in this position now. However we have been a lot worse off, remember those Div 4 days? Lets not go back to them. Some wise man once said.." Every political career ends in failure...". Looking at Cameron, May, Blair Brown there's some truth in that and it could be construed as appropriate to a Football manager as well.
Wilder gave us 4 good years, his forays into the transfer market were not good but we still have the resources to turn this around. Just carping about the past year or so is not getting us anywhere.

Just think suggesting any of our fans have more knowledge and/or experience than Wilder is silly which is what looked like was said. If not then fair enough

If only you knew.

Sometimes it’s better to leave the past behind when you don’t know the facts. Let’s move on, let’s live the present and look to the future, saves your looking a clown with posts like this

I don’t know. I still call Dick Wragg a **** every day for letting Willie Carlin go.

It’s difficult to forget Wilders big money failures in the transfer market and even harder regarding his, and his teams capitulation on the pitch. However that solves nothing about current events and any club, or business for that matter, doesn’t lick their wounds by looking backwards. The problems are there, are possibly worse and need solving by the current set up, now.

I can criticise Wilders most recent signings until the cows come home, but unlike some, there’s no satisfaction or set off against the position we find ourselves in. Our problems are here now, like it or not.

Fuck me not another CW thread
It was a fantastic voyage but it’s gone boys!

In a parallel universe, JOC never got injured, we kept Hendo in goal, Berge fitted our system, Lundstram didn’t take the piss, COVID never happened, we didn’t play in empty stadiums and we stayed up easily….

onward and upward, good luck to Chrissy in the future but I’m done reading about him on here

come on Slav lad!

You may have seen it wrong mate, what I do know is it needs us all to pull In the same direction we are in a rut for what reason nobody except the people involved really know. It's sad it's come to this but maybe it's the wake up call the owners need to make them see running a loved football club isn't a hobby is our fucking love our passion the thing we wake up on a Saturday for. Sheffield football seems a poisoned chalice an it's a fucking shame for one of the best followed clubs below the prem and our neighbours 🙄

No one truly hates Wilder, how could they. For everything he’s done for us. They’re just angry.

It’s like when Dad leaves the family because Mum got fat. Without him around, the house is falling to shit. All you can eat is tinned food because your Mum’s had to take an evening shift at costcutter and you can’t afford Sky Sports any more. But he’s still your Dad.

Meanwhile, your mum gets a new fella. He moves in and starts tidying the house up. Then he realises that for the last 10 years your dads just been bodging up the repairs with No More Nails. The new TV your Dad bought last Christmas was actually second hand because he spent the rest of the budget down the bookies, now it’s on the blink (can’t even sell it on eBay). We’ll get there though, might just take longer than first anticipated.

I think what I’m trying to say is yes, Wilder is the most successful manager in our lifetime and I am grateful for that. However he’s also spent more money than any other manager in our lifetime and the majority of it is absolutely garbage. He’s jumped ship the moment he realised the players that got him there were past their sell by date and inevitably some one else has to pick up the flack.

Lets all have a bit of patience and hope that Slav can bring in a few fresh faces that we desperately need. If he doesn’t, I just hope the players can show some professionalism to graft and turn it around (I’m looking at you Fleck).

Either way, It’s still early days. For fucks sake, let’s not start falling out now.

Reads like a modernised Charles Dickens novel.

It could be any of these :-

Great Expectations
Bleak House
Hard Times
Oliver Norwood Twatist

Can't help thinking that there is something in the fact Wilder hasn't been employed by another club yet. Something about him that clubs want to steer clear of.

What a load of bollox, best squad in the division!

I have not and never will come on here or any other forum and have a go at CW or AK, but to make a statement that this is the best squad in the division is pure and utter rubbish.

This midfield is one of the worst in the division for a start and players like Robinson would struggle to hold down a place in any other championship team.

What facts do you know then that favour CW?
the people I know that work in the club (and have done for many years) feel massively let down by him.
In their own words ‘he’s shafted us’.
He used his twatter mate to brief against the club and it was all bollocks, he wanted out and he wanted money - simple as, so spread a load of lies.
He won’t say one word against the club because he knows they’re itching to have him for libel if he does, the Princes interview was thoroughly vetted by the clubs lawyers who made sure they had the evidence to back it up should CW challenge it publicly.
We used to berate Warnock for playing the Blade card, CW has shown massive disregard for the club and we will be paying the financial cost of his mistakes for a few seasons to come.
Hé did a brilliant job but he’s basically destroyed all that he created for ego and greed.

If this is true nice one mate cos I'm sick of the wilder love in at the minute

Today has shown me that Wilder knew exactly what he was doing. This team is a bunch of losers and he knew that and tried to get out before it was completely his fault. He failed because the shambles is on him and the board. I’ll always be grateful for the rise from
L1 to PL, but as a Blade he could have put the club in order before he disappeared/got sacked.

At least 20 clubs would swap squads. Probably more. A bad work man...

This is Philosophy in a nutshell. Nice one Bill.
