Whilst I don't disagree that Wilder wasted some serious money and left us with with a rigid squad, that doesn't make Slav and the board blameless.

Slav is up against it, make no mistake. But my frustration is that he's not trying to put his stamp on things. He's basically gone back to the old formation, rather than his system. This squad need to adapt or they'll be replaced, even if it's by youth players. If he wants a back 4 and Egan and Davies can't do it, then Lopata comes in. If he wants a front three and the current strikers aren't suited, there's Smith and Jebbison. Same with midfield. We can't keep changing shape constantly, no one knows where they're playing.

As for the board, the signings speak for themselves. There's no fresh blood, they need to act and fast.

Yew blame SJ to an extent but this squad isn't the best in the division. We have huge issues in it. No dominant centre back, no legs, bite or creativity in midfield and no goals up front. The blame also lies with the board and the non existent director of football for not bringing new blood in.

Surely we've bottomed out after that. I was hoping that a last minute equaliser would be the spark to get things going but it's just got worse.

Chris was living off past glory which is why he didn't get the sack when any other manager would have been following a 9th place finish with last season's crap. Hindsight is great but if Wilder had left sooner and we'd got a permanent replacement with time to salvage something, some of this shit shower who are hanging around like a bad smell would be long gone.
