Sheffield United
They might have sounded ok to us (who don't scout properly or do our due diligence on their history) at the time of purchase.
But I'm talking about today , after 18 months of convincing evidence that they are fading , useless & fairly useless , respectively.
And the buying club will definitely NOT pay wages higher than what they're on at the Lane , so good luck trying to shift them !
We are stuck with them 3 , Stevens , Robinson , Osborn , Fleck , Burke , Brewster , Lowe , Freeman , etc etc , unless we want to loan them out (with a wage subsidy) or sell them for peanuts.
The Wilder legacy is a squad pregnant with mediocrity , irrespective of whether you're in the PL or Championship.
The only way to progress is through introducing our younger players and/or selling our only saleable assets , Rammers & Berge , which would allow SJ to bring in some quality players of his own choosing.

Fans wanting to sell ramsdale so we can finance a QPR keeper and a 500k winger from Crewe is finest example of we never think like a big club.
More like fans accepting the reality that a sale of that level is needed to fund desperately needed replacements to fix an incredibly imbalanced squad.

To be fair to SSN, they said at 7.00pm transfer show that he’s in talks but fee not agreed as yet, so perhaps it’s close but no cigar as yet
well hes obviously going isnt he just a question of how much we can squeeze out of arsenal like ive said before on here ive always been a big fan of rammy but weve so many holes to fill i think its the right decision for the club and gives slav more flexibility to bring the players in we badly need

Don’t panic Fellas and Ladyfellas, Harry on Twitter has spoken and Arsenal have withdrawn all bids.

£30M including add ons but we still have to get a replacement 1st choice keeper in or the deals off. Berge looks to be staying put and best of all, looking to offload Burke as a sale or makeweight. Hes being touted around. Night night everyone lol

Makeweight? More like paperweight...amarite 🤣

If Burke only possessed a football brain he’d actually be ok

Shame but for me both Burke and Moose should be moved on if any club would take them

Yes, I know Moose can be decent but he’s no use to this club if he’s forever on the treatment table

That sounds eminently sensible from the board. Are they aware they're representatives of Sheffield United?

Fucking brutal from Slav if that’s the case. Up until Saturday Burke was a first choice forward, one standard performance from him and he’s out.

still more important for me is getting the players in we need especially in midfield get the right players in and a top goalkeeper wont be as big a priority imo

Yep, exactly, many of the flaws on team metrics or Wilder tactics, rather than necessarily him individually as a goalkeeper

Over the last two seasons, he has faced a high volume of shots and has conceded marginally fewer goals than he was expected to concede with a decent save % and with trends improving over time, looking at the second half of last season vs. the first half and also his PSxGA stats for us (small +ve) vs. Bournemouth (small -ve). He also had 4 errors leading to chances in the first half (and 2 leading to a goal) but zero in the second half. So overall a decent picture given his age.

Amusing that Arsenal sold Martinez who was probably the best GK in the league last year for a figure less than they are reportedly looking at Ramsdale for today!
Which segment are the best keepers in on that?

Latest from the Athletic that the move is unlikely to go ahead as we cannot agree a fee
Representatives of both clubs met today for face to face talks but arsenal are not prepared to go beyond a guarantee of £20m whereas Utd want more and initially demanded £35m

good to know we are sticking to our guns!

According to The Athletic talks on verge of breaking down clubs too far apart in valuations. Apparently Arsenal won't offer more than £20 mill upfront.

The Athletic is reporting the deal is on the verge of breaking down as a fee set be agreed.

They reckon both clubs met at a hotel in Hertfordshire today to 'thrash out' a deal but they couldn't agree a fee.

Apparently Arsenal unwilling to guarantee more than 20m and our board don't think that's enough profit on what we paid for him.

The days of us bending over are well and truly gone

Beaten to it !!!
