Scary.

He is 18 for gods sake. He knocks seasoned pro defenders about like they’re toddlers.

He’s quick, switched on positionally and tactically, aggressive, got a great touch and has plenty of self belief.

I worry we won’t have him for too long, so let’s enjoy him while we can. What a talent.

If we are going to play 433 he's probably 3rd or 4th choice CF, depending on Sharp.

Ability wise unless McBurnie has finally picked up how to.play through the middle effectively he's probably our best bet

Might have just been my stream but he looked about 3 feet taller than I remember him from last season 😂

Looks a genuine prospect, need to manage his game time and not get too on his back when his form dips ( as is usually the way with young players) do this and I reckon he'll have a very bright future.

Hopefully like most of our fans, other teams think he's called Jebbinson and we can just say "sorry, nobody by that name here" when they start ringing.
Why not let bygones be bygones and let The Wednesday have him for a season? - Asking for a friend :) as i hear they are pretty much all ready for a promotion push bar one forward :D

If Mousse is first choice central striker, and he doesn't last 90 minutes, then it's a like for like replacement, or tweaking the formation when he is replaced.
More questions than answers, mainly because of Injuries, is Mcb pencilled in for Didsy role, or Burkes role or to challenge Mousse.
If the front 3 are Didsy, Mousse, Burke, will any of them last 90 mins, which means although we do look to have lots of strikers, it's possible to make a case for keeping them all, and not sending Jebbison out on loan

Brewster I reckon could be McGoldrick's understudy for that role if we're keeping it. He links well.

I think we should 100% keep all our forwards to be honest. Probably got too many, but unless we need to shift one for wages reasons, I like the look of having Moose/Jebbison/Sharp or Brewster/McBurnie/McGoldrick on the bench to make an impact.

I think we've had times where out bench has been very poor in terms on impact lately, this would be a great step up for games we're chasing, wasn't so long ago that our options off the bench were Ched Evans with a broken ankle and Caolan Lavery.

He should have a part to play this season, look at the impact Brooks had when we were about to pack him off to Chesterfield for the season. If he's not had much game time up to January then a loan to League One might be a good option to get some minutes in the legs and hopefully bang a few goals in.

As crap as it was for us when we were in League One, those games were probably the making of Harry Maguire as a big, young lad who had licence to throw his weight about out of the spotlight and being able to focus simply on playing and learning the game. Done alright for himself since!

I don't think you have to look back further than last season re injuries, JoC, Fleck, Berge, Egan, Bash, Baldock etc okay JoC was no doubt the major loss, but the cupboard was pretty bare, and with the exception of Osborn, no one stakee a claim.
Long season and Didsy isn't getting any younger, Billy & McB both picked up injuries as well last year, the more I think about it, the more it adds up to keep all the strikers.

Jebbison is essentilaly what we thought we were getting with McBurnie.

No you are right. McBurnie is many levels below Jebbison

When Jebbison gets 20+ goals at Championship level then you can say that.

McBurnie might have been a bit of a waste of money for a Premier League club but he's been shit hot at Championship level.

And im pretty sure at the same age jebbison would score the same in that attacking swansea team

And I'm pretty sure McBurnie would get more than 7 in 75 Prem appearances if he played for a team like Man City that gave him some good service and didn't just hoof it at his forehead all the time, but we'll never know for sure.

Both play for United though so no point tearing one down is there.

How on earth can you be 'pretty sure'?

He's looked a very good prospect after playing literally 4 first team games. McBurnie has scored at almost a rate of 1 in 2 in the Championship (including 9 in a not very good Barnsley team).

To compare them is ridiculous and doesn't help Jebbison by putting so much pressure on him.

Selective amnesia is a thing clearly.

Said on Doncaster thread last night he brings something to the team we don't currently have. A 6 foot 5 target man, good in the air pacy, good feet but most important of all knows how to play the position and continually makes intelligent runs behind the defence. Mcburnie was never a target man. He played off Keiffer Moore at Barnsley and wide left in a front 3 at Swansea. In essence they could play together in a 3.

We need to see how Jebbison adapts to the Championship over the first month of the season. To loan him out too soon could be a mistake as age doesn't matter if you have the ability.

Same goes for Lopata. At 6 foot 4 he's a beast, the type you need at the back in championship football. Not wanting to put too much pressure on the two of them but they look like younger versions of Deane and Maguire.

Tell me whether McB has been "shit hot" in December 21. :)

Jebbison is an incredible prospect.

He's still not anywhere near the same level as McBurnie.
Interesting view - what level would you say they are both on?

I love McBs attitude and effort, however Im not sure what he does 'good'.

He actually gets smaller when he jumps for a header, his finishing is low percentage, hes not fast. In fairness hes good on oppo's corners, but that shouldnt be his biggest asset as a striker.

Not saying Jebbison is going to be a world beater, but he seems faster, more agile, stronger and has a finish on him.

Not suggesting one is in front of the other, as they are at different points in their development

McB at 25 years old and with over 170 league games is probably as good as he is going to get.
Jebbison has just turned 18, and has 4 league games

Whilst we cant ignore what McB did at Swansea, if you look at his record across the Prem & Champ, its 134 games played, 16 goals scored. 1:10 isnt a return from a 25 year old striker I would want to be relying on
