Well you must be very naive then if you that there is no agent activity involved. Of course there is. In fact I've already read previously that there was discussions ongoing between the agents of both clubs. It's in Arsenal's (and their agents) interests to leak out that things are developing. It does unsettle players and helps the buying clubs cause, as well as the players agent who is also probably after a very nice agent fee for greasing the wheels of any transfer.
Players are allowed to make their own minds up about what they want to do with their careers you know. Doesn't take an agent to tell Rammers that he needs to be playing in the Premier League.

He may well go but this is all very arsenal they’re run by men who have allegedly engaged in illegal activity linked to football so it’s not going to all be above board.

Anyone would think we've never played the same game when trying to buy players from smaller clubs.

Of course they are allowed to make up their own minds (though some players are like sheep - remember the lad who nearly signed for Utd on transfer deadline day a few years back who was sat Midland Station in Sheffield waiting for his agent to tell him what to do?).

That's not my point. My point is that 'of course there is agent involvement' in this ongoing transfer dance. It's in the agents interests (Arsenal FC agents and Ramsdales agent) to unsettle the player and to get him thinking about the move. SUFC have already said they won't sell for less than x, Ramsdale has said he's happy at SUFC for the time being, so who do you think is responsible for leaking stuff to the media? Agents.

If I was Ramsdales agent, I would be telling the Arsenal reps that 'my client would love a move to you'. I'd be in contact with SUFC saying 'my client wants to move to Arsenal as its in his best interests career wise with life changing money involved and he should be allowed to go for x. I'd also be talking to my client (Ramsdale) and telling him that whilst I've not been touting him about the interest is very real and that both clubs are very eager to get it done. If then start looking at property villas in the Caribbean where I would spend my agents fees for helping to 'arrange' the transfer. Arsenal's agents will also be using the media to try and get the player cheaper. That's just business.

Sitting on Arsenal’s bench all season won’t help him or his England aspirations.

I think if they could, agents would move everyone on their books every season 💷

If they are paying £50m for an average CB who just missed out on relegating Brighton, then a similar amount for Rammers is not unreasonable. They probably think he is the next Seaman and Berge is the next Viera....

Rammers had no intention of playing championship football next season before his call up to the England squad and he sure as hell hasn't now. He'll also end up probably at least doubling, if not tripling his wage.

There's a naivety that runs through our fan base that is sometimes mind boggling.

He will not force through a move if it doesn’t happen it doesn’t happen, with assurances that he will be sold for much less if required if we don’t get promoted. Good source.

Despite playing a full season for us in the premier league he never got called up and then he got his first England cap before he played a league game for Man Utd.
He was still on loan to us for his first call up I’m pretty sure

I'm sure rammers probably has one eye on the world cup. Maybe I'm naive to think that having been with Southgate for over a month, if he's still with us come end of the transfer window, it's because it won't effect his chances too much.

I believe this to be bollocks. If a top move materialises of course he’d be open to discuss it but to say he had no intention of staying is besmirching his character and is unfair unless you know it for a fact.

And since he got called up to the euros, we have not called him in to renegotiate a better contract, that shows we have no intention of keeping him

Bob, unfortunately all those conversations with the rest of the aquad will have reaffirmed what premier league and international players earn.

If,as has been stated a number of times, all our players had relegation clauses in their contracts and he's now earning 30-50 % less than what was already a poor premier league wage it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out it will be nigh on impossible to keep him

If players aren't happy with relegation clauses, they;

  • Should have negotiated the clause out.
  • Should have avoided being shit.

So what about the policy of not selling unless we get the right price??
Is it fact that he has no intention of of playing championship football. Despite fans nativity you must obviously know something else. If we get the right price then he goes so be it ,but your speaking as though you are his agent. Silly comments!!

I wouldn’t blame him for wanting away the shit he had to put up for a good % of that season from certain sections of the fan base.

Players are programmed to ignore the abuse but even Aaron went public with it
