Impressed me for Hungary in the game against France,he got stuck into those French midfield stars.

He ran the midfield for Hungary yesterday. Plays in Croatia by the looks of it. 6 goals and 6 assists in 31 games last season. According to transfermarkt he only has 12 months left on his contract.

This guy has a great engine on him,and he always impresses in tournaments, had a look at his CV and its not all that impressive at club level, would be surprised if Eng/Sco teams hadn't looked at him,bit like a Ben Osborn upgrade.

Almost certainly wont get a work permit based on the poor league hes currently playing in

He impressed for Hungary v France. Does anyone seriously think we'd be his best offer!? Likely to go to the Bundesliga I'd have thought.

This one is probably out of reach now but signing this profile of players is definitely the way forward. Malinov is the Bulgarian version of this lad, signed by OHL last season for 2 million euro and is a very good central midfield. A player with that quality in England seems to cost al least 10mio pounds, for that money you can buy 5 players in Eastern Europe.

Lets give up on all decent players then......
Ok Gaffa, you tell me how often we've signed an international player post a major tournament, especially as a second division club, and Hungary whilst not a top side are far from mugs either. If we wanted some like this you've got to do it before a tournament unless you want to pay big money and more to the point he'll likely have top flight attention I'd be certain of that, probably from Germany where's he's played before. The new transfer model is to sign players who are under the radar and who have sell on potential also, because that's good business sense. I cannot see how anyone excelling in the Euro's will fit that mantra. Just my opinion. If he signs for a Championship club I'll be the first to admit I'm wrong.

You don't sign players after a good display in an international tournament, it will very rarely give good value for money. I agree with all the naysayers, it's a bad idea.

This is more the type I can see us signing. Anis Mehmeti from Wycombe Wanderers. Yes I've only seen clips on youtube and he may be crap, but this is the sort of player I can see us going for. Young with potential and not going to cost much and with lots of potential.

It's a fair point,Bristol City have got Nagy who is part of the Hungarian team and showed up quite well in the games so far, think they also have another player at the Euros with another team as well.

Kalas with the Czech team the centrehalf got him from Chelsea. Without wanting to resort to lazy journalism Slav has him on loan at Fulham I believe and he’s a handy player.

They've already got Nagy though having signed him way before the Euro's and the point I'm making is that if a second division club wants to sign a player who is pulling up trees in the Euro's then it will be unlikely because they'll be bigger suitors. I'm not saying we can't sign internationals but unlikely for someone who's getting loads of plaudits in the Euros. I think we'll sign more international players if we get promoted back up, that's obvious of course.
