Total bollocks.

Henderson made more errors leading to goals than Ramsdale did. There are stats to back that up.

Pick a Kuwaiti team, the English game is clearly not for you.

I have a strong feeling this will end up exactly the same way as your claims about his age and the number of POTY awards he's received...

Oh look, it has.

Please stop going on about stats and reference points without doing any research, it's embarrassing.

I don't think stats tell the full story of a player, for the record, but as you were talking about stats I thought I'd just provide some.

It's easier to let your evidence do the talking instead of your arsehole!

Oh I’ve not checked some pointless stats. Shoot me.
Ramsdale did get a POTY award though, and he’s literally just turned 23 😂😂

Talking about people talking out of their arse, coming from you with what you come out with is seriously top notch banter 😭😭🤣

You know what mate, try as I might to get wound up with you, I can't help but appreciate your relentless shithousery 😂👏🏻

Let's agree to disagree eh! Up the bloody Blades 😅

Tbh I can't believe our player of the year is getting so much shit from our own fans. You sound like spoiled children.

We were fortunate enough to have England's best keeper on loan a few years back, his parent club wanted him back so we replaced him with a young decent keeper who won our player of the season and has recently got his first England call up.

Some of you lot need a bit of perspective

According to Kickest (https://www.kickest.it/en/premier-league/stats/players/errors-leading-to-goals/2019-2020?teams=35) it was 1 for Henderson last season (Liverpool home) as opposed to 2 for Ramsdale (Man U home?, ?). Henderson, for what it's worth, also made two this season.

You can't compare the two seasons: Henderson played behind the same back three in more than 30 of his 36 league games. Additionally, Ramsdale made 50% more saves than Henderson, he's clearly a better keeper

They're unbelievable

The comparison to Henderson is a pointless one to make, as pointed out above. Our defense this season gone was in tatters with injuries, whereas Henderson was protected by a defensive masterclass in our first season back in the Prem. He faced significantly more shots and so was always going to concede more, and was also more likely to have his few errors focused upon by those who think we should be able to compete with Man U for the signature of the best goaly in the country

Let's not forget Henderson had his own fair share of mistakes too. There's very few, if any, keepers now who don't seem to.

Huge. What a baller.

How can he share a bench with Dean Henderson though?! He's not worthy... good job he doesn't need to since he's replacing him.

There's not many players get called up to the England squad from a championship team! Anyone know who the last one was?

Sam Johnstone?
Haha oh yeah, before that?

Also, 2 keepers from the championship in the England squad, usually I'd be saying its reflective of how shit England are, but I'm not sure that applies here

I know you can't compare them, I just saw a claim of there being stats to back up a point...and felt like being obstinate 😅

It had become a bit of a clash to the death with BrianBadonde and at that point I was just finding owt I could to be a sod! Mischief Monday I guess!

I think they're actually both about the same as keepers...both young and both talented but both got a lot to work on.

I think Dean's confidence, attitude and mentality win it for him, but that just my opinion!

Dean's not looked the same confident keeper this season imo. Said previously, I think if rammers had had the back line hendo had last season, they'd be close matched. Hendo without that unit hasnt looked as good (playing for a superior team in manure) imo.

Yeah I can go with that. Its almost like he's had this...

"I'm going to play for Man U so I'm Billy Big Balls"

...attitude, until he actually felt the scrutiny of wearing the No1 shirt at Old Trafford and found it wasn't quite as straight forward as he thought!

I applaud his cockiness.. it's needed in a keeper. However, he's now been opened to much more scrutiny. He lets a howler in like he did against Liverpool with us, it's a quick mention then that's over. He cocks up at manure and it's centre stage up until the next match. Massive pressure difference.

I'm actually quite happy we've got rammers myself. Said two seasons ago this "loan hendo over and over again" won't end well, and it'd end in tears. We've got a solid, dependable and young keeper who's had a similar pathway (two seasons now) in the premier League in ramsdale who will only improve (as shown this season)

Yeah massive difference, you're right! Look at De Gea, possibly the best keeper in the world on his day but the pressure there has obviously taken its toll on him a bit.

I agree with you, I've been a backer of Ramsdale through the whole season, but I also see the benefit of getting £20-25m for a position we have competent back up for (if its possible!)

I can't remember the name of that website.

If you still had it bookmarked, how did Ramsdale compare with Johnstone?

He's now seen as no 2 but to me it was 50/50 as to who got in.

Johnstone save percentage for last season - 70.6%

Ramsdale - 70.7%

He also conceded 74 goals to Ramsdale's 63, despite playing one game less.

Ramsdale edges it on the stats, but you could argue that Johnstone has a more experienced head on him, which is arguably more important at international tournament level.

A very close call!

For me that Johnstone save against Romania alone propels him to clear number 2 for England. I wouldn’t swap Rambo for him personally, but that type of moment sticks in the memory and will have a big impact on managers like Southgate who are quite easily swayed.

It’s no better a save than some Ramsdale has managed this season by the way, the Newcastle one in particular for me.
