... the only way I can put it is like a divorce but thanks to the recession neither party can afford to move out.

Sheffield United is sleeping on the settee while McCabe has the double bed. Both are terribly polite over breakfast, but the seething resentment is there from both parties.

All the while, the team know that something is wrong with Mummy and Daddy. They're suffering at school. But there's nothing they can do about it.

All I want to know is, who can the social services for football be to step in and sort this mess out?

Sheffield United could sling Kevin McCabe out.

That's the approach my ex-wife took

Sheffield United could have an affair with somebody willing to spoil them and shower them with gifts.

They're a bit old and over the hill. They need their roots doing and a boob job before anyone will be interested.

As it is, they're just staying in the house all day in their dressing gown crying.

Nicely put. I like the analogy Linz! Sums it up nicely. All the people who want McCabe out, need to realise he isn't going anywhere and if he does (walk away and leave the loans behind - like Dave Whelan has talked of at Wigan) there is an unsustainable business model (that he has been propping up) left behind

I've had a lot of non-Blades ask me what the hell is wrong with the Blades with all the turmoil so I decoded to condense it into the story of a fading actress and increasingly desperate attempts at trying to regain her fame http://aunitedview.blogspot.com/2011/05/fading-actress.html But I think I like your description more

Alternatively, one of them might have been willing to eat humble pie and give it another go... Resigning himself to more wallet ache and a few more years of ups and downs.

There's one catch though, the kids are being banished to boarding school and a new nanny is coming in to look after the new adopted crowd.

We'll just have to wait and see over the next month or so!

Chuff me Brownie, I never knew she was going with him behind your back  Bet he was getting his own back for the shoes off campaign ;)

They'll be out on the streets soon, mutton dressed as kebab ready to suck the first cock that pays enough money. Wearing leopard print clothing, probably.....

Utilising a good analogy further, McCabe comes home drunk on a regular basis and smacks SUFC around for fun. But SUFC can't run off because McCabe pays the bills and keeps SUFC in rags. He has a pre-nup so that SUFC will receive nothing and will have to move out onto the street when they pluck up the courage to divorce him.

McCabe smacks the kids around as well and sends them off to other parents because he can't be arsed with the upkeep. He won't pay the Child Support when he goes either.

I know of a shed which isn't thought to be blades related, but actually is, going free in Chelsea soon...one of them could move in there short term.....

McCabe got what he wanted out of the relationship and now just can't be arsed anymore.
I think we were more rent boy than his mrs.

So the new man is.....Mary Poppins

For the love of the blades please don't invite the social services in, they know FA and definitly would have us all in a home ASAP if the could.
