With the current situation brewing over the pork flavoured side of the city, it left me wondering what I'd do if the Mighty Blades ceased to exist in its current form. I'd find the gap left by not supporting United as too big, and I'd miss not having some competitive football in my life.

There's always room for another poll, so out of curiousity..

Should Prince Abdullah suddenly pull the plug, stop paying wages and rack up debts, sending the club into a spiralling demise (see Macclesfield & Bury), or should those in power decide they want to move us to Truro (Wimbledon style) where do you go as a fan?

My love of football would die with United.

Still, I'd always have a million memories of the Blades to keep me smiling until it is my turn to walk through the pearly gates. No one can buy or take those away from me.

Apart from Blades games I’ve not watched much football at all the last year… I’ve not missed it that much, got very much into TV series and Films.. so if United went under I might give it up and just watch Euros and World Cups every couple of years.

Perhaps I will re discover my love of watching neutral games again if fans are fully back next season but its not a given.

Hi Stegossurus here

Support a larger local size. As a bonus, I can get to Hillsborough.15 minutes faster too.

You used to be vaguely amusing, but now you can't even spell your own name. Like that club of yours you are deteriorating quite rapidly and headed on the road to fossilisation.

Hope you enjoy Gillingham away, assuming your shower even start the season of course.

Topical.
Found this newspaper article a few weeks back and almost posted it.
The proposed colours might need changing. Green and white stripes anyone?

Voted lower league because I’d probably go and watch Stocksbridge (nearest non league club to me) more often.

Wouldn’t be averse to the phoenix club thing depending who/where etc.

Big no to the other options.
It wouldn't be the same again if it was a Phoenix club.

Interest would drop off.

But then there may be some scope to get behind the worlds oldest club and take them to the world's oldest ground perhaps.

Then at least when back in the league you could hear the team refered to as Sheffield without being apoplectic!

I picked Phoenix club, however, in this eventuality I think the best option would be to seek a local businessman Blade to lead a fan consortium to purchase a 50% share in Sheffield FC, with a view to merging the Blades fanbase and their club

Loca businessman?

Isn't there a big Blade who was born on Shoreham Street and has made millions in property?

Knows the club and has unfinished business....

Lived in Rotherham over 30 years, my missus is a Miller, I'll support a local, lower league side 😁

Can I have 2 options. Would go local but also have a liking for Fiorentina. What can I say? I look good in purple - I just do!

Are those voting for switching to a top 6 club serious? You cannot support a club unless you have a genuine emotional attachment. Supporting a team full of expensive, overpaid mercenaries is definitely not for me!

Hi Stegisaurus here

Why do peoole think im a Wednesday fan? If I supported Wednesday id grace their forum with my intelligent posts
Hi Champagneblade here.

As you're not a Wednesday fan, what's stopping you gracing the Blades forum with intelligent posts?

Give it a shot. You may as well start sooner rather than later!

😂

Phoenix club all the way. Football clubs are representations of their localities, so as long as the people still exist, the clubs still have a chance too.

I understand that many wouldn't bother with it at first through disillusionment or apathy, but the will to build such a club would be there because passionate, talented individuals would take it upon themselves to do so.
