Amissah and dewhurst need to be out on loan this coming season making the inevitable mistakes they will make. Sitting around on the bench will do them no good
I’m hoping Chesterfield make it up via the playoffs exactly for that reason. Several of our kids could do with L2/1 experience to see how they adapt to men’s professional football now they’ve proven themselves with the U23s.
Chesterfield have a good setup, decent sized crowds and won’t have lots to spend so hopefully it’s seen as win/win.

Plus they have established links with our youth sides using the stadium.

IMO, Simon Moore is a model pro and would have given 100% given the opportunity, he also had a nasty hand injury at the start of the season. He doesn't pick the squad and he didn't buy Fodderingham. Ramsdale also thanked him personally in his post match interview.
Is that Model Pro or Pro Model?
😉

We all accept that HRH knows his footballing onions. We still have Hecky at the club. Jokanovich will have (I believe it was mentioned in relation to his interview, a thorough familiarity with our squad) watched dozens of hours of our games from this season and last, at least. Between them, they will already know where the fat needs to be trimmed from. The bigger question is, if the clubs needs to raise funds before bringing in new players, how that happens and who we move on.

Donny manager Wellens was at the Lane to watch the u-23's the last match.
Wonder if that affected their performance but in any case would be good to get one or two in at that level.
The transfer windows are screwing football for all but the richest clubs who can go out and sign endless players regardless.
It's a gamble either way. Too much spent or too little cover with player development screwed up as they cannot go out on short term loans to either get match sharpness so available for own club as well if needs be or just general development. Big gap between top level and none league where they can go short term.

Eastwood is due back, and moving up the ranks. Another club tried to loan him this week, to get that response.

Yes I read that quote also (Paul Hurst at Grimsby). I took it that he will be used as either direct back up to Rammers and be our number 2, or he will be a third keeper. I think the chances are that Rammers, Eastwood and Foderingham will stay as the first choice squad keepers (I'd try and move Foderingham on tbh) whilst I think Moore and Verrips will be released / sold.

Even Rangers fans wondered why we were going for Foderingham in the last pre season. He's done a job though I suppose.

If we get actual money for Verrips and Coulibaly then Jan with a Van is going to be the source of serious 👀 emojis.

I think the retained and release rule is within 7 days of the end of the teams season. That does not mean that it has to be made public It is possible that the players have been informed personally. Even if the likes of Robinson are released it doesn't stop a future negotiation when Slav is in place
I think that Robinson still has 13 months on his contract.

The one that's just spent 3 months running the first team? A unique situation where the previous manager is still involved with the club.
So he gets to choose who goes and who stays and it's not his team anymore You just carnt write it absolutely brilliantly thought out a manager got the sack at Fulham and Watford apparently not even in this Country at this time and he's coming to save us.This is going to end in tears

The players who he'll be looking at also aren't in the country so even if he was living in a caravan in the Shirecliffe car park, he wouldn't be able to do too much.

I always look forward to seeing the released list for SUFC. It's the same feeling I get when Ive been desperate for a shit most of the day and my arse finally touches the bog seat. The relief I get at seeing some of the turds disappear round the u bend is something else. Only 1 months pay to still be paid for some of these wasters such as Good ol Lunny, Invisible Man Rodwell, and 'its a very nice life' Simon Moore (semmingly paid very well to model our goalkeeper kit every pre season but then not much else for the last 4 years, yes that's 4 years since he last played regularly, think how much coin he's 'earnt' in that time...)

There can be exceptions though, Jags being an example. Time for him to go now but he has helped us through some difficult times these last 2 seasons and I wish him all the best for the future. He's been a great servant to the club (daft hand ball v Wigan forgotten).

Pretty certain Jagielka will be kept on in a coaching capacity.

If you only want managers who have never been sacked then you’re fishing in a very small pond.....and before you mention Wilder, his performance this season would have got him the sack at literally every other club in the world.

Interview on TalkSport other day saying he wants to keep playing and that he's no 'left SUFC'. Plus, he's not done his badges yet according to something in the Athletic earlier this year.

Is that "not left" or "now left"?

To be honest, if he'd take a paycut I think we'd have offered him a year and payment to do his coaching stuff, but I don't think he'd be happy on £15/20k or something if what he was reportedly getting for the past two seasons is correct.

He still has good games in him, so I'm sure he'll do well as an 8 games or so player somewhere.

Oops, my bad. NOW left! lol

I'd be happy keeping him around, push him through his badges and, when we need to, get him on the pitch.

Is it wrong that I question Jags work ethic based on his physique? I would be totally open to bringing him back if he could show our young kids the importance of working hard (inside and out of the gym) and a proper diet. I look at Brewster/Mouse as someone that could learn a thing or two.

Based on that Bob, could we help Wednesday out, decent set up? Decent sized crowds? And won't have lots to spend?
Well 1 out of 3 ain't bad is it.

We need young kids to play football and they can do that while still keeping them close by for support.

Just a guess - but do you read the Daily Mail?
