Perfectly reasonable argument.
Slater, Norrington-Davies, Smith have all finished their seasons at Loan Clubs this weekend. And Sheffield United FC have three games left. That's another opportunity right there.
I don't think Smith and Norrington-Davies can play for us this season, don't they have to be registered because they are over 21?

Might be wrong.

When Phil mentioned this I searched our list. Smith isn't on it but Slater and RND are:

Does that mean that they can be involved on Sunday?

Look. I'm not a Grass. But Regan won the league at the weekend. My sources tell me he has history with celebrations. I understand when United U18s won the National Professional Development League title, he lost his Winner's Medal "in the confusion".

Get him to Rotherham for a season, hopefully bag himself a couple against the pigs!
Rotherham or actually maybe donny might be a good spot for smith as both have recent form for loaning in young strikers.

I don’t believe so. My understanding is that if they’ve been on loan until the end of the season, they can’t play for us until next season.

This is the EFL rule on it:

55.1.4 A Player whose Standard Loan expires (or terminates) at the end of the Season of the Transferee Club but prior to the completion of the League Matches of his Transferor Club (where it is a Member Club) will not be eligible to play in any remaining League Matches for the Transferor Club in that Season;

There isn't anything in the Premier League rules (at least what I can find) that mentions this.

Donny have had that John-Jules from Arsenal this season haven't they?

Really want him to do well, purely because his uncle is the Cat from Red Dwarf 🤷‍♂️
John-jules and previously sterling from spurs. They can’t afford to buy a top end striker for that division so the policy seems to be to rotate through promising youngsters on loan.

Not sure how many strikers we have at youth level but it's now time for them to have a place on the bench.

Before anyone pipes up, we barely have any other options. Anyone got a list of the just strikers?

Injured/unfit

Burke
Mcburnie
Sharp
Mousset

Hackford, Ndiaye and Jebbison have already played in the first team this season.

Another kid with a token appearance on the bench before disappearing not to be seen again?

I thought it was a very impressive debut from Jebbison. He lookes lively , was getting into the right positions on the few ocassions that we threated the Palace penalty area, and generally did all the things we expected from Brewster but have yet to see. He is a raw talent , but certainly a big hope fot the future. Without putting to much pressure on the lad , he did remind me of the young Brian Deane.
The trouble with Brewster is, he still turns up for training in his Liverpool tracksuit.
