Talking of Chavy great Avatar..... 😂.....Seriously though if Oli had left the Cardiff stadium on the day that photo was taken and got banged out he would have got exactly what he deserved so no difference really...
Definitely, if you dish it out you should expect it to go nasty. The context of being at a football game is slightly different than being singled out when you are with your mrs/alone but dishing is dishing.

The bit I don't get is the missed stamp on the phone, which fell to the ground.

I would have expected a professional footballer, to flick that up of the floor, bounce it on a knee, catch it on a shoulder and let it slip down and into jacket pocket.

Maybe it all makes sense after all..................

Your expectation level, by now, should have been suitably adjusted when it comes to our #9 !

😉.

Can't believe what I am reading on here.

We are all connected with Sheffield United Football Club, yeah? If we weren't, we wouldn't be here, dong what we do or being identified as 'he's a Sheff United fan' at work. McBurnie is one of our players. Quite a prominent one in fact and one who has come expensively and this season when it really mattered, without much to shout about let alone assault anyone.

Now he is no less notorious than 'Sheffield United drug addict Jose Baxter', 'banned Sheffield United drug cheat Paddy Kenny', 'jailed convicted rapist, Sheffield United striker Ched Evans' and 'car crashed by Lys Mousset, striker for Sheffield United'. No matter the mitigation, it's pinned on the club. It's pinned on us. Relegation and notoriety in the same player.

If someone fronts me up in the street they'll get an ignoring to, but if it did retort to violence and retribution, no one on here would give a fat fuck. I don't play for the Blades. My actions are of no consequence at all and won't make the headlines. If McBurnie had just moved on and out of the way, neither would his. But as we have seen on here, he's quick with the fists when on the back foot.

I can't quite see how some are mitigating his actions, unless he was under real physical attack.

pommpey
Wrongly convicted and jailed ched Evans, cleared upon appeal. How do we know or mcburnie know that he wasn't gonna come under physical attack? Everybody has a point where your pushed to far, he's got 3 lads all pissed up giving it the big un towards him an he's retaliated. We don't know how long he took the abuse for for me he's done what a massive majority of people would've done an I do not blame him in the slightest.

Most annoying thing about this is looks like was almost deescalated. The prick recording was saying see you later Oli Mcburnie and looks like Oli was about to round the corner into a side alley.

Then at last second decides to react to the goading and it all kicks off

OHHH ROBIN CODINA
OHHH ROBIN CODINA
OHHH ROBIN CODINA
I did think after should I have said my name, but it's no difference to on Wilder's Army then is it! I thought there's bound to be someone from school who's gonna say something embarrassing, but sadly most people at my school in the early 90's supported Wednesday, bet they regret that now!

I think it was the bit where he calls him a "shit cunt" that caused his last-second reaction.

Agree, he could have embarassed the other lot by saying "yes I'm shit mate but earn more in a year than you'll earn in your lifetime" . Normally that would be the comment for a cunt, but would have been a justified putdown in this situation, and better than wading in.
And the little git would be filming it on his shit phone and that would be all over the internet.

...and whilst I don't condone his behaviour, we need to know the antecedents. I don't care who you are, or what you do, or how much you're paid. We're all human and all react out of emotion at times.
Sorry but that is absolutely not the case.

Never mind the poor multi millionaire footballers
spare a thought for A&E staff, Police Officers, Firemen, Ambulance staff, Council Officers, Benefits office staff etc.

Everyone one of those professions get many times the abuse on a daily basis, from the same elements of society. If they react, aggressively as McBurnie did, they lose their jobs no question, all for considerably less than £1million pa.

They too are human, but have to control their emotions and respond professionally when often all they’d really like to do is rip the persons fucking head off and bounce it down the road

If you can’t handle it you get another job, the same solution is available to Oli McBurnie

It wasn’t happening when he was doing his job. Do council officers find themselves followed around in their own time, filmed and abused by people with rent arrears,

Let’s at least make sensible comparisons to the known facts. So much on here is McBurnie bashing because of his poor season. Had it been Sharp things would be very different.

The ironic thing is if McBurnie attacked everyone who abused him and said he was fucking useless while he was at work, he wouldn’t have time to go to pub or log onto Twitter!

But yes, since you asked, those professions do get abused while they’re socialising or shopping, if they’re recognised or even get followed home from work.

Believe me, you’re the one not making sensible comparisons

Sorry just can't agree with that

Hey Ollie McBurnie, what yer gonna duuuuuuuuuu??? And calling someone a shit cunt, I think he’s watched too many Rise of The Footsoldier films.

McBurnie needs to count to six (the goals he’s scored for us) in situations like these. I know it’s hard but sometimes it gives you greater satisfaction to just laugh at idiots like these and just walk away. What if the next one he has a go back at has a knife? You see it everyday in the news. And I am getting sick of trouble causers like the one filming. What’s wrong with having a few beers, having a laugh and then just quietly going home??

I don’t see where the irony is.

You brought the work environment into it btw.

Your posts clearly show you don’t like McBurnie, you said you agreed the kid needed a clip but then said because McBurnie is wealthy he shouldn’t have done it.

Wasn’t it also you that suggested one of the people involved was about fourteen?
