That’s something for Biden to resolve. He’s got 4 years to roll out ID cards to all and make sure those communities are prioritised. That, to me would seem sensible and negate this being an issue.

I live in Singapore. Much smaller place but everyone has an ID card. Everyone has trace together since about the first month of the pandemic and the app was updated within minutes of me getting vaccinated!

You see I would actually agree with that. If people can't afford ID cards the state should step in. Ironically it was the Conservatives in the UK who abolished the Labour plan to do that on cost reasons back in 2010.

Yes it’s for being a different ethnic group/religion. Most Jewish people are light skinned but that isn’t why some white ‘gentile’ Europeans indulge in anti Semitic behaviour (but I’m sure you already knew that).

No problem with ID in real life. So I suppose you are ok with voter ID?

With social media it's different because of despots, whistle-blowers, under 18's/safeguarding etc. so it's not a simple solution to this sad problem

There's no whataboutery, it's a point that everyone in football gets abused for different reasons to varying degrees. Doesn't make it at all acceptable and it should not be normalized.

Did I compare? No, I merely stated that Ched is white and has received a lot of abuse as well of a different nature.

I'm not sure what abuse didzy got and there's no place for racial attacks on any platform ,as for Ainsworth he probably would relish the dogs he would get .

If the media companies get a complaint of abuse all they have to do is read the abusive post/message and if it breaks whatever rules they have re abuse, identify the abuser to the relevant authorities.
If they do it in response only to on-line abuse, those that 'need' anonymity should be fine, as long as they aren't abusers 😊

That's the existing system we have, and for all it's fault the least worst way of going about things.

The problem is resources and time to kick people off and to stop it.

Twitter/Facebook are large but they can hardly employ a billion moderators can they?

They wouldn't have to.
Just have a system to respond to complaints.
Companies could read posts complained about and then report anything that justifies action to police or other authority.

They already have that. Twitter has over half a billion tweets per day, and even if only 0.01% of tweets are problematic, that’s still over 5 million tweets per day for humans to respond to.

My point is that this boycott will do absolutely nothing. I hope I'm wrong.

A bigger more significant action for football to take against abuse/racism would be to boycott the Qatar World Cup.

People also need to be realistic. Do we expect a world where there are no murders? If not, why do we expect a world where there is no racism?

Of course we all want that to happen and will try to make it happen, but it won't happen. Until then we should starve these scumbags the attention they crave.

Sorry didn't see your post I could add Ramsdale and Henderson to that list plus loads of disabled people who are not filthy rich get some unbelievable trolling . I just think its attention seeking footballers egged on by SJW's trying to play the victim the truth is in this country their is very little racism in football just loads of trolls getting a quick hit by trashing a celebrity . I wish they would just take it for what it is we all face some kind of injustice in our lives but we just get on with it .
