Daniel Jebbison and Antwoine Hackford for England.

Interesting jebbison getting the call he’s certainly a bit of a unit.
 
Both look pretty athletic / powerful, which as we know is very important for the top two levels.

They’re not standout rapid but both certainly strong lads and jebbison has some real physicality.
 
Pleased for the lads. However the downside to this is that now they will be in more in the limelight, one of the 'big 6' clubs will be snooping around and it's just a club like Chelsea to poach them for a million each, just to add them to their trillion other youth players on their books who spend their footballing lives being continually loaned out.
Just hope we can now afford the luxury of keeping hold of such players and bleed them through our own system to the 1st team.

There have been reports that Hackford has been attracting admiring glances from elsewhere prior to this so I don’t think he’s necessarily under the radar. Realistically our one selling point as an academy is the recognition we get despite being of lower status so it’s good for the players and the club.
 
How long are these guys tied to contracts for?
Am I correct in assuming that due to our academy status we run the risk of developing them and then being obliged to release them in exchange for a minimal development fee if they run down their contract?

As soon as they’re on pro deals which United normally offer at about 15/16 we can’t lose them for nothing. They normally get a 2 year deal at 16 and then go onto a long term pro deal if they continue to develop. I’d imagine with how highly rated these lads are internally the big long term deal will be round the corner.

Looks like jebbison and Hackford have edged him out Phil and then bailey-green and lankshear seem to be doing the business for the 18s

Some players & their families are beginning to announce new deals have been signed (eg Harvey Cullinan)

Hackford is a sheffield lad is Jebbison also from sheffield ?

He started out at ANB who are Ontario based, we picked him up from a UK Football Schools trials day in Birmingham.

Other than that, I dunno!

Jebbison going away with the Man City and Man United lads. What could possibly go wrong?
 
Looks like Jebbison is in the squad today. That's alot of young uns we've had on the bench this season.. But rarely get a chance.
 
Odd that potentially both Hackford and Jebbison could make their PL debuts against the same club; in reverse fixtures?
 
Another kid with a token appearance on the bench before disappearing not to be seen again? In the meantime Burke hasn't touched the ball in 50 minutes

Saw him fluff a header but that's all.

Really well. Was always looking to get into a position to receive the ball and in dangerous areas too in and around the 6 yard box.

Transitioned us out of defence into attack nicely on a couple occasions with some smart first time passes too.
