Hopefully 46, assuming our important defenders come back fit and we don't sell all our better players. But if we are crap after the Jan transfer window and have no chance of the playoffs, then maybe he will go. It might be time for someone else to turn the slump around.

I'd let him have as long as he wants if he can get us back playing the way we used to. Kick the players out he was talking about the other day, puts his foot down with any contract fucking about, brings in a 25 year old Mark Duffy a like who has Premier League potential, and gets some academy players playing.

That's a good recipe even if we don't go straight back up. I'd be happy with that.

I certainly don't want him to leave and truly think he's the best person to get us back up but IF we were mid table heading into the JTW then IMHO it would be the time for a change.

This season has been a perfect storm of everything that can go wrong going wrong hence our position. Next season won't be and he will have one of the biggest wage bills, some decent money available for transfers if a couple are sold and fans back in the ground.

No excuse for us not being up there from the start IMO and if we're not, and don't look like being, then with a heavy heart it will be the time for change.

I agree not just from the point of view of wanting to challenge promotion but the whole club including the fans will need to shake off this relegation feeling as soon as possible.

Surely that qualifies as 'Around the top 6'. Just to clarify what I meant (didn't think it needed it tbh), we have to be in or within touching distance (no more than 3 points) of the top 6.

Sticking by a manager after relegation seems to have worked well for Burnley.
