Any thoughts about Theo Robinson's comments about us?

Apparently he told his teammates to exploit the lane fans’ growing impatience.

“I came here two weeks ago with Millwall,” said the on-loan striker. “They are aggressive against their own team as well as the opposition.”

Travelling supporters are just as passionate but, by and large, tend to be a more forgiving bunch.

We're our own worst enemy and even the opposition know it.

Don't need to. Exploiting the fans impatience worked pretty well on Saturday.

You could bellow like Montserrat Caballe for 90 minutes and this set of shithouses would still play shit because they are shit. No amount of singing will make Nosworthy a better player.

Aye, a mere 85 trophyless years, a full 4 years in the top flight from the last 35 - and only 20 - 25,000 bother to turn up. We're an impatient bunch.

Not exactly a master stroke from him is it. Its obvious our fans are more pissed off then a blind man who reached for the toilet paper next to the sand paper.

Okay maybe it wasn't clear enough for some so I'll explain it yet again (pay attention at the back). Adams (and previous managers) has said it, the players have said it and now the opposition have said it. The booing of our own team during the match means the players play worse not better. No arguments. Fact from the horses mouth.

Now it's up to you whether or not you choose to boo, cheer or just sit quietly. I'm not telling you what to do. All i'm saying that whilst cheering might not necessarily mean they'll play any better, booing WILL make them play worse.

And seeing as many people have come to the conclusion that this is the worst team we've ever had, then lets agree that we don't want them any worse than they are now (assuming that's possible).

So before you have a go at the players for a crap pass or dodgy cross, stop and think do I want to help or hinder the team?

It's up to you but I know which one I'll be doing.

Never agreed with booing our own. I dont see whats supposed to happen by doing it. It just makes us look like arseholes to the away fans.

I think everyone agrees that booing during a game is counter productive. What I'm highlighting is that, despite recent frustrations, we can hardly be labelled as an impatient non supportive bunch.

It would be better if BDTBL was a wall of noise for 90 minutes. But since football has seen fit to pay it's emplyees about 50 times that earned by those who actually pay for it, sadly there's a little more demanded in return. And we're actually getting fuck all back.

I think the fans have been good this season. Not noisily supportive, but goddamned tolerant.

Wow, the blokes who are shit at their jobs have said its a result of fans booing them and not the fact that they are just shit at their jobs. I never would have seen that one coming...

For those of you at the back, Bryan Robson said the same thing after drawing 0-0 at home against a Scunthorpe side which was bottom of the table and had 10 men for 80 minutes. He got crucified for it.

Until Derby scored I thought the general mood was like that of a parent watching their child trying to walk for the first time. You can see they haven't got the technical ability required and it's probably going to end in failure and tears but you love them and just hope against hope that this time they'll somehow succeed.

It was only after they scored that the crowd started to become restless, even then I've seen far better Blades team given much worse stick.

I don't doubt there's truth in it, but lesson 1 in management: don't ever say it.

Besides, this Theo bloke is talking crap. The negativity from the stands has been remarkably light, though the tide is turning. Hopefully I'll be on hols when it gets really nasty. :)

Here here. The fans have been remarkably patient this season and by and large have backed the team pretty well. And they still play shit. Those who booed the other day have just had enough and I can't blame them. Those bunch of overpaid wankers need to pull their fingers out of their arses and actually earn the ridiculous amounts of money they're getting paid and get us out of this shit.

Pretty much what I said during the match. We know they're shit and its got to the point where we're treating them like little kids. Encouraging them as much as we can if they even get the smallest thing right and trying to give them a little lift when they get something wrong.

It's very definitely noticeable on here.

Have a tour around opposition fans websites, you'll see exactly the same even when there's much less to moan about. I think fans, in general, lilke to moan. I think internet mesage boards then attract the more opinionated of said moaners -a recipe for disaster....:D

I think the moaning is the flip side of the coin to the loyalty that's shown. Not many other businesses attract such loyalty for clearly inferior products, whilst paying the workers world class salaries.

Rattly, your campaign to fall back on it's all because of our SCF's and WINB's is doomed to failure. Pack it in.

I picked up on something Alco said about being "determined" to enjoy next season and how it's impossible to force enjoyment out of something. That's what it's like this season. Every game I've been to there's a sense of desperation in the crowd for something to get behind (I sat on the Kop v Pompey (we weren't even terminally shite then) and the applause for a pass from cm to wing, then cross was akin to a 30 yarder from Jags.

But there's only so many lumps to nowhere, free men scoring for the oppos at set piece, plain old clangers and corners which hit the first defender people can take.

Remember, they've sent people home happy on 4 occasions out of 17 and have yet to get anywhere even approaching the abuse Blackwell got, let alone Robson.

Well done the fans say I.

Well it's all the fans fault after all. Thank fuck for that.

Apparantly being a crap player is OK ("I'd be great boss if those pesky fans weren't booing, honest"), buying crap players with what little resource we have is fine ("They were great when I managed them 10 years ago chairman, mind you we didn't boo them then") because when it all boils down to it, it's the people who throw money into the club (not as re-payable loans but as hard disposable income) buying crap merchandise and watching sub standard football who have brought us to our knees.

Well spotted. Problem solved.
