McBurnie and Brewster

We're down, we have been since Christmas. I presume he has spent £40 million on Brewster and McBurnie with the intention of playing them together, unless he's found a magic moneytree somewhere.

So why aren't they playing together? How are they meant to get an understanding for next season without both playing at the same time?

Because playing a 34 year old every week, along with a loanee in defence, and a midfielder who won’t be here next year is what he’d rather do than give any young en of ours a run out.

Yep game time together before next season would surely help. However unless we can find a competent midfield pairing or trio from somewhere they won’t look good but I agree it would help to get minutes together and build an understanding.

Quite honestly from our current 6 strikers, i'd be quite happy for Didzy and Sharp to be the line up for the 1st championship game. I appreciate they are 33 and 35 respectively but they both offer considerably more than McBurnie and Brewster and they work well as a pair, the best partnership we have infact.

I'm not sure where this belief comes from that they will both be ok and score for fun in the Championship, McBurnie inparticular has had one good season in the championship - id qualify that though by saying so did Leon Clarke

Presumably because he couldnt hit a barn door and couldnt even look dangerous against Plymouth or Bristol City.

Got a feeling planning for next season starts from now, 3 points last night would have kept slim hopes of putting a run together. Even the biggest optimist has no doubts now. Fingers crossed we start to see a few different options and youngsters.

Well that’s Wilders fault for signing a player for stupid amounts of money (for us) that’s either not good enough or doesn’t fit the system. Burke’s made more of an impact and he was free, we’d of been better signing Toney for £5m-£10m it was a similar gamble

still not disproven when we spend sod all we often find good ones but then when we have a bit of money to spend we get nothing. Bogle being our latest bargain. Ramsdale is the only expensive buy recently showing a noticeable improvement and I`m saying out of a 1 to 10 scale with 10 being the best he is currently about 2 or 3 on the improvement scale and has a long way to go yet but the very very very very very early signs are there.

100% agree. However we required players to make us better immediately, especially when paying £15m plus on one player. I can understand a punt on a youngster at £5m like Lowe/ Bogle
