Call me defeatist etc, etc, but we are going down so we should prepare for it now, treat it as an extended pre season.

I haven't written off Brewster - there clearly is a player there (99% of evidence prior to joining). But I'm conservative in estimating the damage this season may have done. I don't see us barebacking next season by the scruff of the pony tail.

Im with you in hoping. But 'ideal' is the word. It's hard to relate to a footballer, but most can relate to a profession - 12 months of dog shit performance, constant slating etc can take a while to shift. Often needs a change in scenery.

Isn’t he playing that team and system now? If not, what’s he picking the team for? It’s surely not PL survival

There's no point in trying to get promoted next season if we don't have a change in ownership or some outside investment. This season has shown what happens when you can't compete on wages and have to make do with 2nd, 3rd, 4th choice transfers.

I don’t disagree. Wage rise we’re paying buttons, but we will have the parachute payments which should give us a lot of leverage in a league within which clubs are in financial disarray.

Fleck I would keep. Norwood and Lundstram are done for me. Berge will likely be sold. We need a number 10 who can create, dribble and pass, an RCM and a bit of depth.

as much as i dont rate mcburnie i would play him and brewster up top every game now with mcgoldrick at number 10 and put bogle in lundstrams spot baldock and osborn wing backs

We are getting nowhere with the current lot so let the youngsters have a free reign when they are picked for games. Play them and rest them ...... can’t be any worse than what we are watching now.
