FMBlade1 Nonsensical Suggestion (TM) # 4986892:

Bogle.

He has pace. He can dribble. He has good positioning. He can take a shot on and can finish. He's an absolute menace.

If Burke can (rightly or wrongly) be given a go up front after being a natural winger why not Bogle? It also means we could get Baldock back into the team (when fit) to make us more defensively solid.

I would feel more confident with us scoring with Bogle up front than Brewster or McBurnie for starters.

Prefer him as a number 10. If anything.

He's probably the player who's style most resembles Duffy and isn't afraid to run at the defense and pop a shot when needed.

We only seem to have Didsy and Bogle who are willing to have a shot, which is concerning.

Even Lowe last night was more of a threat than Sharp and Brewster.

I would actually have him up front and not give any tactical instructions and just say 'Do your thing, make a nuisance of yourself'.

He has great instinct and is wasted in defence where he is nothing special, and Baldock can do that job there. His defensive skills wouldn't be wasted either as he would be great at tracking back.

One of the most exciting young players we have had since Che Adams in my opinion.

Hmm... personally i think he’d be better at RCM playing box to box with license to roam and be a nuisance, shifting between a 10 role and CM and on the right wings, this means we can fit Baldock in the side and bench Norwood
yes i would be tempted to try him in midfield that way we can get him george and basham down that right hand side they looked an intersting partnership in the brighton away game anything but negative lundstram

Actually suggested this months ago:

And most controversially, change the system.

'Albert Einstein said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Just because we are losing by 1 goal a game rather than 4 doesn't mean we are 'close' to getting it right, we've gained 1 point out of a possible 33 with the way we're playing and to be honest deserve little more than that.

Yes the way we set up has done wonders for us in the past, but that's the point, it's in the past and has little relevance to our current situation and predicament.

Personally I'd go with:

Verrips
Baldock- Basham-Egan- Stevens
Burke/Bogle - Berge- Lundstram - Osborne/Fleck
Brewster- Mc Burnie

Berge is more used to playing in a 2 for Norway and Genk, Bogle might offer something different and productive in tandem with Baldock, likewise Osborne and Stevens on the other side.'

Bogle and Baldock when on the few times they have played in the same team have looked really good.

Definitely wouldn't play him as a striker. The reason he's effective is precisely because he's ghosting into unexpected positions. Put a centre back on him and he immediately loses that element of surprise.

Honestly the run he did against Chelsea looked something like Messi would do.

So perhaps he could be given a 'free role' here to do that sort of thing. Let him roam around and cause havoc, he has a great knack for being in the right place at the right time.

Maybe not a striker but how about LWB. Was thinking this last night. If we keep Baldock we should really be playing both of them. Bogle loves to cut in on his right. Him LWB when JOC is back making those over/under laps could be chaotic in the championship

I thought that’s what CWAK must have been telling him anyway as he’s rarely playing his position as RWB... He’s a conundrum - love his attitude, willingness to get into unexpected threatening positions (and actually shoot), the fact that he will actually try and dribble past players but.... he is AWOL so many times from his RWB position that he’s actually also affecting our play negatively as we have no width on the right as, for several games now, Bash and Lunny rarely have anybody wide to pass to (partly why we’ve seen more surging runs from Bash recently as he’s just had to keep going himself). So maybe there is a more effective position for him long term?

i think this lad could play anywhere but if its the only way to get george and him in the same side yes i would play him there especially at west ham where bowen plays wide right for them but always cuts back inside certainly a better option than lowe mind still think ben osborn is a very good lwb

We've seen so little of him, it's hard to know if this is just a very bright spell, or if he's a genius in the making. Last night's highlights are worth watching with a keen on where Bogle is and what he does in almost every attack. Astonishing.

Will do :)

Will you try it out?
I’ll check on FIFA next time I steal the switch of the youngster. I’m not even sure if Bogle plays for us on the switch edition to be honest. The update doesn’t seem to be on yet. I’ve not played FM for a long while. It’s a bit time consuming!

Try him right side of midfield. Bogsie, Angrey George and Bash, dont sound to bad to me. But what about the left hand side?

Left side, O'connoll (assuming he's back) Stevens & who in Left Midfield? Then of course just the center to sort ot!

He didn't. :)

It's bollocks anyway. As a consequence of the previous attempts, other conditions/factors relevant to the outcome will change. For example if i'm throwing trying to his a tree by throwing a stone at it, and i miss, it's not insanity to throw the stone again and expect improved results as i am now better able to line my aim up accurately as a result of the miss. In a more relevant example, the more a football team plays together in a particular formation they should get to know how to play in said formation a bit better each time thus making it rational to expect an improved outcome.

That said, P23 W3 D2 L18 tells its own story.

He'd probably do ok there though not sure how his play would be back to goal.

I wouldn't move him though. Goals are hard to come by. To have a wingback with an eye for a goal just makes the whole team potentially more potent.

If you play FM you will quickly lose your expertise in National Insurance Law!

Because I'm nonsense I play 4-4-2 on FIFA with Bogle as a winger, in Division 6 on online mode but that's more a reflection of me being crap than his ability further forward.

Someone who knows more about the technical qualities required of a striker will no doubt tell you why this is unlikely, however my view is that he couldn't do any worse than Brewster. At least he knows where the back of the net is.
Jono...look no further we have found our striker coach...when can you start coaxingstar?

It’s all about Rocket League at the moment for me. 2 games a night when I get the chance to sit down. I’d start an ultimate team and play fifa but it frustrates me when everyone else has Messi and Ronaldo and I’ve got Oli Burke and Demarai Gray up top 😂.

I wish I could get away with a PS5 in the office but unfortunately it might be a step too far and I’d definitely lose my edge on employee based problems if I sat pissing about on the computer all day. Have to keep the minions happy and working hard 😉
