Possibly. Add to that the drink drive thing, and the twitter pics with the Owl T shirt, odds have been against him for a while.
But for me, it's mostly the following. In football, as in life, we are mostly driven by value for money. If you go to Miller & Carters and order one of their steaks, it better be worth the money (it was BTW). If you go to Spoons and have one of theirs, you accept it's not going to be a world beater at their prices.
So for me, thats the thing with McBurnie. But the worst part of it is, I was completely on board with his signing. Decent record at champ level, all the signs were he could make the step up. In the current climate, ANY player with those attributes is going to cost money.
Problem is, McBurnie is starting to look more Spoons than Miller and Carter.................
McBurnie just can't cut it at this level. He wasn't amazing last season bar the odd match against Man Utd and Brighton.
