FAO Anyone blaming Ramsdale

Let down by a poor defence again. Two goals that could’ve been avoided Lowe & Bash playing the attacker onside on the opposite side of the pitch. Get punished for that at this level simple as.

He does rush out a lot, seems to lack depth perception, did it in 1st half and Bash bailed him out.

Every time he comes off his line we look like conceding. He either drops the ball or it goes past him.

It wasn’t his fault we lost but we could have done better than concede a penalty. He is woeful at decision-making.

He didn’t have all that much to do last night surprisingly given Chelsea’s dominance.

But I fear the worst when ever the ball goes anywhere near him. I’m afraid that’s just how it is now with him.

Clumsily taken Werner out was inevitable although the twat started his theatrical dive before there was any contact. It was a quality double act that was bound to attract a penalty.

Half of the flaws in his game can probably be put down to jitters and inexperience.
The other half I think we've got to live with. Weight's often on the wrong leg. He'll cost us goals but we'll get away with it next season.

Inexperience? He's had nearly two full seasons as a PL starter. Jitters I agree with, he's been the goalie of one (soon to be two) relegated teams.

I don't know how anyone blames him for any goals we concede, he's the best keeper we've had in the 60 years I've been watching for

Better than Kelly, Tracey, Kenny, Rees?

Sorry, I don't agree. Time and age to develop, and he has shown some signs over the last few games. But for me at the moment he's more in the Benstead, Kite section, a bit meh. Still, at least he's not in the Derek Richardson section, nobody wants to see that................

All about opinions and I hope we're all proved wrong, I hope this time next season we're talking about the quantum leap in his performances.

So we signed a keeper with fucked up eyesight who can't tell if the ball is a yard away or twenty?

Sounds about reight.

Good to see the list of medical experts on here is expanded by the addition of an Ophthalmologist.

Dr. Hartman, as he’s probably known professionally.:)

Fair comment, suppose I'm hoping for the best but know the reality.
He is still a boy though and I just feel like the best keepers are men, a few exceptions (inc Hendo).
I would've hoped he'd have got a bit more refinement by now but it's what we're stuck with for the foreseeable future.

Anyone blaming Ramsdale

Yes for at least two of goals livepool conceded

Hi, Stegosaurus here

Fixed for accuracy

Your posts are depressing. Unfortunately there are lots of fans like you, for whom nothing is ever good enough. You seem to think we should be a top six side when realistically we are a yo-yo club at best.

We played well yesterday but instead we must focus on what went wrong. Seriously, look at the positives, you’ll enjoy it a lot more!

He/she is a Wednesday fan and as such will obviously take great delight in any negatives that we might have.

Although at least we lost 2-1 to Chelsea and not 4-1 to Millwall!

Not sure I’ve seen anyone blame him for us losing. Didn’t do owt wrong. And was actually very good the couple of games previous. Hopefully he carries on because prior to the Manchester City game he was barely competent.

Kean Bryan's fuck up, he should have just knocked it out of play with the value of hindsight. A shame because he had quite a good game overall and it has to be said his crossing into the box is pretty good.

Ramsdale not really at fault for anything last night. I do think Werner ran into him rather than the other way around but contact is contact and it will usually lead to a penalty these days.

Yes that is how I feel. I am worried when the ball goes near him and any kind of shot on goal I think that is in. That is of course not totally accurate but how I feel. He makes me feel very jittery and not sure any fans can say they have total confidence in his work, even the basics.

I want my goalie to make me as a fan and the team in front of him feel safe and secure - not thinking what is he going to do here?

Yes. You watch the ball at a penalty - not dive out the way. Pathetic.
I agree but ALL the keepers in the Premiership do it. Just try standing up, and while I am at it do all the coaches train keepers to parry the ball rather than catch it? Remember a keeper Banks he wouldn't get a game now as he held everything and had little protection
