Pretty obvious some of our players have been off form due to injury. Even Baldock has said he picked up a hamstring injury in the home game against Man Utd.

None of us were aware he broke his back which is probably why he was out of form.

Different sport but hiding injuries goes on all the time in Ice Hockey for that exact reason

It always seems to take Fleck 8-10 games after being out to get up to speed. Suggest we get him into pre-season training in May.

When on form he's a joy to watch and easily Premier league quality.

How? Have you looked at the involvement stats (passing, tacked, crosses etc.) from our midfield lately? Fleck invariably comes out the worst of the three.

For what it’s worth, I’m not blaming Fleck - he’s clearly carrying some injury. I think he’ll improve after a good rest. But to say that he’s carrying the midfield is wishful thinking and ignoring reality, I’m afraid.

He scored a few last season when the whole team wasn't shit. He's probably one of the more saleable assets though so we might cash in.

Sorry but Norwood is past it, not good enough now even for the Championship, Fleck should be, but needs to pull his socks up and get back to his best.

I considered Fleck my favourite ever United player but when Wilder gave up, Fleck gave up. Like most of the others, his heart isn't big enough. He can go for me.

Its interesting the debate on Fleck. He had a decent run of 4-5 games around Jan-Feb but for the most part he has been dreadful this season.

I used to love the guy too. My favourite player maybe and last season before lock down he was brilliant.

Gone are the weaving runs, penetrative raids and link ups. He often just loses the ball and gets brushed off like a fly. His touch and passing has been poor at worst. At best safe. He is so unfit it us untrue and cannot keep up with opponents

I actually do not think he has been that much better than ON and JL. Our midfield gets outrun and outplayed every week. We routinely are 2nd best in possession stats by some distance.

There is only Villa home and Man Utd away where the whole midfield functioned well.

We don't win the ball and when we have it we toss it away. The midfield don't create, score or penetrate. Their set plays are woeful. Also not sure any of these 3 have scored a goal. Not one goal.

Defensively they are putrid. They get ran past time after time, don't press, can't run and never stop service coming into our box. They also allow shot after shot to reign in.

The notion that the other 2 have been garbage and Fleck has done quite well I do not buy. The whole unit both collectively and individually have fallen off a cliff this year.

I think all 3 (well Lundstram is gone) performances mean they cannot argue if the new manager brings in 3 new starters and they have to win their places back. Equally they cannot complain this summer if they were transfer listed. We lose every week and the midfield is the weakest part if the team (tough competition mind).

Fleck has a huge summer. He needs to go away and get super fit and come back leaner and able to run up and down. He can't have another slow start as is always the case.

Norwood with the right players around him could easily be a top player for us. If there’s one that could still be an asset to us however it’s Fleck, wouldn’t give up on players down to one bad season. Fleck should be fine.

A new midfield is the main priority for me, even more so than the striker situation. If we can create more we might get more out of the lads upfront.

Fleck and McBurnie both run like they're trying to stop a turtles head popping out. Fleck's another to add to the list of ' been brilliant for us but lost fitness and form.'

(a) a rocket up his proverbial
(b) serious completion next season in centre midfield
(c) selling/moving on in the summer

Letting him continue in the same manner next season at United is simple not on.

Our none functioning centre midfield has been rubbish for a host of reasons and to make a serious push next season, it needs putting back to 2 in the middle and hopefully a new Duffy in the no:10 role.

We need to be planning what we look like on our return to the PL. Fleck, Norwood and Lundstram don't feature in that.
