Looks like we've upset some Manchester fans, their plucky band of misfits only won by a single goal this week
 
Those comments (after the first few) affirm my view that most Man City fans are cunts.

Their players are really good at football but they like rolling around on the floor a lot more than they like playing.

They've always been full of shit. They sold themselves for years as the club that "real Mancs support", ignoring the fact that Manchester United - despite the stereotypes - have always had a much higher number of active supporters from Manchester than them.

Even the bottomless pit of money that they've got can't get people to like them. They won't have been affected one bit by having no fans in the stadium, it's been that way for years.

The funniest part is they say the game is boring and we are disgracing the Premier League. Do they expect to have 20 teams like City, Liverpool etc. If they were they'd not be doing as well. There will always be inferior teams who have to rely on organisation, work ethic etc.

It's like we want to win every game and beat everyone but we erm..want to play better teams. Which would mean you'd lose more and look worse? Which is it?

As others have said. They have spent billions. It's not even a level playing field really.

The arrogance is astonishing.

If they had won 5-0 they'd have said how stupid we were to try and have a go and how crap we were.

They want them to look good and if teams take away strengths then its dull.

Bizarre.

Pre Match there was a quote saying they "respect" teams who attack them even if they lose 5-0. I'm sure they do. I would have respected Plymouth if they had played up7 up front and lost 5-0 last week
 
Thanks as ever Roy!Started off well but descended into the usual entitled,knobby comments I should have expected. Agree with everyone else in acknowledging what a bunch of twats City fans have become.
I feel pretty upbeat tonight about how we played and I'm going to enjoy my evening.

Exactly
The thing is when we we're doing well in League One, it was a bit like the "Man City" effect. Bigger than all the other clubs in the division, bigger fanbase, and if we needed to spend a £1 million on a player we've done it on occasions, money that other League One clubs could only dream about.

I can't remember our fanbase slagging off Bury and Rochdale and Hartlepool because they came with a game plan to make it difficult for us.
 
I see a few on here generalise about how crap our fans are.

City fans 20 years ago were quite grounded for their stature in the game.

Now loads of them have forgotten where they were not long ago and how much they've spent to get here.
 



Hey come on, lets not sink to their level, in their position could we honestly say we wouldn't have collected some "fans" just like that..?
With our team in the position we are there is simply no other way we could have played it, we held them to one gaol and with a bit of luck could have scraped a draw, and after the way we've been playing this season I'm almost appy with that...... ;)

They’re not football fans as we know it for them it’s about the entertainment which comes from goals rather than being actually invested in the game and all the tension that goes with it. For those of us with emotional attachments to a club born of years of heart ache, strife and the very occasional euphoric highs a “boring” 0-0 can mean so much more than a goal fest because we appreciate the journey both us and the club have been on to get there. For those city fans who watched them in league 1 the same will be true although it’s not their club anymore.

If anyone has had the pleasure of knowing someone who has come from humble beginnings, who was really sound and a good mate, but then goes on to be far wealthier than you and turn into an intolerable cunt, they’ve also done a Man City.

We probably all know cunts like that and also many, who follow the same wealth path, but remain sound, they are like the fans of the properly big clubs.

A Man City fan I know (who’s not a twat) said the biggest noise at the Etihad was at kick off 1st half, after that it is shite and they generally win every game. The money has poured in, the success has happened, is now expected, but the passion has gone. Fuck em !

That comment about teams like us being bad for the Premier league brand or whatever. Makes me laugh this. Sky and all the other various broadcasters that suckle at the teet of the Premier League behemoth, always ramp up these huuuge games between the "Big 6"...invariably they end up being a 0-0 snore fest. "SUPER SUNDAY...LIVERPOOL V CITY...LIIIIVVVEE"...Oh eff off.

I think that may be the worst set of comments I've seen yet. Irony totally lost on them. They won the game, but we limited them and could have indeed snatched a point at 1-0 so they were holding it up in the corner. Yet they expect the bottom of the league side to just play into their hands open up to them so they can stroll to another 3, 4 or 5 nil. Erm, no thanks.

I don't think we would, yes our fans would take the piss, but they wouldn't get that arrogant because being United fans none of us would believe it ourselves.

We would be waiting for our Oil or Bitcoin billionaire to get arrested by the FBI and have all his assets seized, including us. Which probably would happen if it was us actually.

We've been that club with more money, more fans, bigger stadium only as recently as four years ago, and as my post above says, when certain struggling League One clubs came to Bramall Lane to shut up shop they weren't ridiculed for trying to do so.

Would love to know how City played against top 4 before they had the billions of pounds. I bet they were not all gun ho especially when they had Pearce in charge.

I know a Man City fan who says he preferred the "pre-amazing days". He gave up his season ticket 2 years back as it didn't feel like his club anymore. It's a difficult one. We all want success but you will lose the identity of the club to some degree if you come from nowhere like Man City did
