I think Brewster is finding his feet his work rate and linkup play was good against the most inform side in the country , he will improve and get better just as the Blades are. The last few games have shown Brewster and the team are starting to get their mojo back.

It’s a bit Bizarre that people are saying Billy is miles better, McGoldrick is miles better etc, look at it in a prospective that suits the blades, both Billie and McGoldrick have said he is training with them, they are teaching him all they know and looking at Billy the Striker coaching role is his when he retires from playing. Chris Wilder says Brewster and McBernie are our future of Sheffield United and with Billy Sharpe and David McGoldrick coaching them then surely their gonna end up good strikers with them as their mentors......

He's not shite, just not worth anywhere near 23mill. Not his fault, it's just the way the premier league works especially with strikers. A lot of premier league teams can afford to gamble on potential, we're not in that league so we shouldn't have gone near him at that price.

Whilst he makes mistakes, his touch when it’s “onis first class. Good awareness of other players and links up well. His movement in the box is good as well.

It’s early days and we’re going on glimpses, but you may as well judge him from now when we are creating chances and write off everything prior to this.

Think he’ll be a player. I think we’ve got potentially a good strikeforce up top with him and McB.

His ball through for McBurnie when he hit the bar against West Ham was world class he had his back to goal just inside their half and brought it down then pretty much on the turn played a 30 yard ball perfectly weighted splitting their midfield and defence. It’s moments like that which have me convinced there’s a player in their because you can’t teach that kind of vision it’s a consistency to his play which he needs to find like all young players.

People really expecting a 20 year playing his first season in the top flight, in a team devoid of confidence, averaging less than 40% possession and amongst the lowest scorers in Europe to be a world beater? Price tag has no bearing on his ability.

Sure its been a slow start, but certainly a few sparks to show his potential and level of ability. One thing i do like is he is always looking, and quick to, get a shot off and hits it very sweetly.

He'll bang 20 goals next year, very confident of this.

I think his first touch is often poor and his movement has been static. Burke had to do thr job of two today as he never showed for the ball, never came short to receive or looked to run beyond.

The 2nd half Burke did well to cross into a good area and he just stood there.

He does not seem to run into the right areas and his work ethic is not where it needs to be in a team that wont have a lot if the ball. People tell me he is a goalscorer not a link player but ges not bloody scored a goal neither does he look like scoring so surely he has to do more in the basics first. I can cope with no goals if he contributes (see McGoldrick last season).

He may well go on and do well but I can only think people are basing this on YouTube Swansea clips.

For United which us what we should judge him on, he has been massively disappointing.

I am quite surprised people are quite convinced he will be a really good player based on the evidence so far. I think a lot of people seem to be using the struggling side / limited chances which are considerations but basics like touch, link play, movement, hold up, running off the ball and defensive closing down he is miles off.

I'd put him in 6th in the pecking order of the strikers we have. Mousse is a bit of a joke now with his inability to stay fit but is more of a threat than him.

I will probably get panned for above but calling it on what I have seen so far and to say I have been unimpressed is an understatement.

As I say he may go and do really well but looks miles off at this stage. Think many just automatically assume he's going to suddenly improve in a lower level. We will see. Really hope I am wrong but even next August I'd have McGoldrick, McBurnie, Burke and Sharp ahead of him.

Sorry I'll elaborate. He never seems to show for the ball, never looks to really beat his man or get into goalscoring areas, his work ethic isn't there.

I thought he was totally anonymous today. Couldn't hold the ball up for toffee, static, limited effort. Absolute waste of a shirt. He had one smart turn and shot. The last few games he has shown signs of improvement but not today.

if were playing billy sharp at 20, i doubt he would do much better he was at sheff utd at 21, after all he got 8 goals in 51 at the championship

He’s played today against one of if not the best centreback pairings in world football. Yeah he struggled and Burke struggled but they were never going to dominate against those players they’re both in a tier up there with van dijk. Billy did look better but it wasn’t that he was a better finisher or technical player it was his experience he knows how to use his body to unsettle players, how to needle them and get in their heads there’s very few better at it. That’s why some older strikers have made good careers at this level Glen Murray/Ricky lambert/grant holt types they use all their decades of experience to gain every advantage possible. Brewster is still in his first senior season in terms of games played he will learn those things but it comes with time and minutes on the pitch in physical battles.
