I'd hazard a guess a fair few of those City fans that were insisting as they faced that chanp league ban that it was a big conspiracy to keep them down (yes, it was all a big consiracy because the spending limit thing was for everyone but city obviously) are also the same ones coming out with crap about how much theyve taught us all. They also picked which team they'd "always supported" a couple of years ago after checking the league table.

Not likely to happen but I'd love us to dink them with a really shitty win. Frustrate them for 90 mins and then Burke to knock one in with his nob end snooker cue style in the 92nd minute.

80% arrogant pricks who clearly weren't paying attention to what happened to ManU on Wednesday night.
But a few who were quite knowledgeable and have spotted we are hard to beat.
Unfortunately Pep is a lot less naive than Ole, so I don't think he'll underestimate us

Bunch of buying success cunts, short memories of the goat and league 1 ?
hope we batter you
you bunch of fucking foreign fairies

The arrogance of 90% of those commenting is amazing. Far worse than Manure or the Scousers. Clearly not the long term City fans.

I remember, as a kid, always feeling some sort of affinity with Citeh fans. They, like us, had neighbours who were full of themselves (admittedly theirs were somewhat justified at the time, early 90's), and they were the "working man's club" in a city that was, at the time, dominated by their rivals.

I was genuinely delighted when they won the league. I jumped out of my seat at the "Agueroooooooooooooo" moment, and felt a sense of "what if, if they can do it, then maybe...."

I don't dislike the old guard of City fans. The ones that used to go to Maine Road in the 2nd division, and kept the faith, despite being overshadowed for so long by the biggest, most famous club on the planet. I hope those fans are enjoying the glory and the good times. The ones that did the hard yards when City were an average first division (championship) club.

The new brand of twitter/instagram city fans however. The 12 year olds that used to "support" Barcelona, or Milan, can fuck right off. And keep fucking off until they get there. And then fuck off some more. And when they get back, they can fuck off again.

And will never the feeling of football

And will never the feeling of football
They never will. They will sit in their chairs, watching their "heroes" from afar, and as soon as whatever team is currently in vogue finishes 7th or wherever, they will switch their allegiance in a heartbeat to whoever is "good" at the time.

I know a kid, he's about 25. From lincolnshire I think. He describes himself as a "Barca, Milan and United (Manchester)" fan. He goes on on social media about these 3 teams, their players, their matches etc etc. He has never in his life been to a match in which any of these teams was playing. It's almost sad. He has no idea what football is really all about.

Never saw the library though shame, saw Elm Park with no roof and pissing it down and winning 3-0 can’t take memories away UTB

Had the pleasure of seeing Maine road once was a proper football ground
As did I, once. I think we lost. I seem to remember Carl Asaba getting sent off as he was lying on a stretcher.

The Kippax was a proper stand. It was noisy as fuck all night. I think we lost, but I remember being a kid and thinking what an awesome stadium it was.

I know we’ve been divided at times about the system and wilder, but can we have a forum pact to never, EVER turn into these bellends?
I agree but to be fair I dont think the danger is we'd turn into bellends like that but rather attract the same bellend-y fans they have if we were to do well.

You know how itd be. Prince becomes a billionaire thanks to the covid bogroll wars and suddenly you have some fuckwit next to you at the lane singing about having a litre of magners cider and a potato wedge sarnie

If by the Library you mean Highbury, I went once. FA Cup 2004/5 ish. We drew 1-1, Andy Gray with a late penalty to give us a replay. That was another "proper" ground that was lost to the march of "progress." :(

Yes mate, drove past a few times and it’s good they gave kept the memories in the garden / flats thing especially in London

Did we beat spurs at the their place 6-0 on a Tuesday night in mid nineties or did I dream that ?

Yeah, I was just trying to put it into some sort of context, with regard to my dislike of plastic Mancs and Scousers.
