Yes it was a lighthearted comment but for the last month I’ve read posts on here imploring PA to spend more money. You can’t expect your club’s owners to spend lots of money on your club whilst criticising clubs whose owners spend lots of money. (I don’t mean you personally).

Yep, good point.

I’m very much in the camp of spending nothing now and seeing what we’ve got in the summer after sales and contract expiries. 12 points is my main aim for us though!

Big divide between their 'internet fans' and actual fans though. I don't think all the sound City fans have suddenly turned into arrogant twats; it's the TikTokkers who fill that void.

I remember a comment from a City fan a few years back saying that a 1-0 defeat to Wigan was his lowest point as a City fan. Which kind of shows how out of touch these people are with City's actual darkest days.
 
Wow, I think ttat is the most arrogant set of comments I’ve ever seen.

It‘s amazing how unlimited money that results in a club being in an artificial position turns the fans into such a set of tossers.

Comments about sides “parking the bus” wind me up as well. They do realise they'd just be another also ran without the money they haven’t generated themselves but been given?

In a fair world they’d be one of the clubs “parking the bus” when they go to one of the true big clubs like their neighbours or Liverpool. Those clubs have built themselves into giants of the game over many years and built the wealth over those years.

They haven’t been handed the money on a plate thereby putting them in a false position.

I hate Klopp but I’d rather even he or anybody else beats them to the title now. Man City’s classless fans forget where they come from and deserve nothing but failure.
 
There are a few respectful comments down the bottom of the list, probably some City fans who still remember struggling to get out of League 1.

It's natural that since they've become the richest club in the League that they would start attracting the glory hunters.

I know City fans who are still worried the Sheikh's are gonna take the money away and they'll end up bankrupt and relegated.

Tbf, I could take a load of comments made by our fans on here last season and make us look like arrogant pricks. I don’t think people should base their views about any club on a few shitty comments made by internet nobheads.
 
Reading comments like these from glory hunters from soulless clubs from the so called 'big 6' makes me puke. They can F off into their own European league. You bet your life that after a few defeats against the European giants from the continent they would soon become small fish in a big pond and wouldn't take long to beg to return into the EPL fold. That would be the time to then tell them to do one. Arrogant twats!
 
Do these fans who moan about "parking the bus" not realise that if the likes of Man City hadn't hoovered up every world class mercenary going, it would be a more level playing field and there wouldn't be any need for opponents to consider "parking the bus"

One or two people on here had to be reminded last season to come back down to earth so it’s not difficult to understand the mentality of some of their fans. A few league titles and cups in a short space of time will always give some folk a pig delusion.
Don’t forget, a lot of these dickheads will never even had seen them play at Maine Road when they were a normal club or won’t actually have a Manchester post code.

To be honest I remember them back in the mid 60's when away supporters were allowed on the Kop. Them and Leeds were the scummiest supporters of the lot.
 
I think you are right there the only club I really have respect for is Southampton, always enjoyed the atmosphere there as an away fan. Favourite moment that 2-1 win there in 2009 when they equalised in injury time and Jamie Ward went up the other end and got the winner. A Tuesday night if I remember rightly
 
Still prefer them to their neighbours and Liverpool. Some forget this isn’t representative of every Man City fan. Regardless, if they can’t be expecting a win against us then who can they expect a win against? These lot will be much harder to keep out than Newton Heath.
 
There must be an arrogant gene in the Manchester gene pool, both sets of fans seem to have it in spades.

And which one of the top Premier League clubs last season didn't call for them to be kicked out of Europe. Do they have any humility ? Do they f@ck.
 
I have always preferred Man Utd, take away the usual arm chair fans their core fan base is one of the best in the world. They make more noise at away grounds than city and Liverpool and speaking to their fans over the years they seem to be a decent lot.
I know last season drinking in the Howard after the game they were great company and were very very complimentary towards us. When we played city away their fans were terrible and didn’t show much class at all before or after the game.
Would absolutely love to get something from this if we did the confidence it would give us would be amazing. I just hope we put up a good account of ourselves and if we get done we don’t get down through silly mistakes.

Exactly
Our four seasons in the top division during the early 90's and our games against them in 2006-07, plus the balloon gate cup tie, Man City was a game that we would never have considered taking a more cautious approach to.

I used to have an healthy respect for the little Mancs. But I wonder how many of those wankers we’re at the league1 play-off final, when they just scraped past Gillingham on penalties.....I wager, not fucking one of em.
