Rolled back the years tonight.

I was genuinely gutted the last time i saw him before tonight as he looked old, slow and his legs looked like they had gone, and it wasn't supposed to end like that

It didn't. It was the grand finale from a superb footballer. Absolutely buzzing

He was brilliant tonight, but he was also knackered, so I would expect that Egan comes back in. I usually say you don’t change a winning team, but I think he will in this case.

Just been watching Match of the Day, when they interviewed Jags after the game, and he talked about phoning his Dad up earlier tonight to say he had been picked to start at Old Trafford (excited, just like a kid getting his first big game), and then saying it would probably be the last time he played at Old Trafford (and after that shift he had just put in), I was almost welling up.

If that really is the last time, what a way to go out, well done Phil Jagielka.

I would think so he was absolutely knackered a big ask too play two big games in 3 days for a 38 year old.
Shame really because as others have said i wonder if alot of that performance was down to his organisation skills.

A little while ago I didn’t think he should play for us again. Tonight he was immense.

I questioned the resigning of him this season along with giving Billy a two year contract. But wow I'm glad we did even if he never plays for us again it was worth it for that performance.
We have just beaten Man Utd at Old Trafford when they were 2nd in the Premiership something I never thought I'd ever see us do.

There were quite a few posters on here that questioned the signing of Jagielka at the beginning of last season, his contract extension this season and the wages he was alledegly receiving. I said at the time along with others that we didnt have any PL experience especially in defence and that he would play his part behind the scenes passing on his knowledge to the likes of Egan and JOC as well as playing when required

Well last night just shows what an experienced PL player and leader can do for a team
Hope we can offer him a coaching role at the club
