What sort of people chant 'wanker' at a player as he's carried off on a stretcher with what's clearly a serious injury?

Been going since '88 and never seen that at BDTBL. Good work lads.

I remember a home game against Swindon in 89 when John Gannon went down injured and a large number of Blades cheered. He was the pet scapegoat at the time. Looking at the video of that season recently, I noticed that a lot of goals came from John Gannon finding a killer pass. He scored the winner against Wolves the following weekend.

A minority of people who attend football matches. All fans are the same. If it had happened the other way round there would have been some of our fans doing the same.

Yep, some fans clapped while other abused the guy. But there were too many on the wrong side. Someone behaving revoltingly deserves to be called out for it.

Actually I wouldn't. I've no first hand knowledge of his alleged crimes beyond the one shocking tackle on Dane. One bad tackle and a lot of hearsay doesn't make up my mind about a player.

It's not big or clever but I would certainly give him every abuse I possibly could. Dane was one of my favourite players and a real potential for the club and to lose him in such a horrible, deliberately nasty tackle was a crime. Ainsworth knew what he was doing and should be reminded of his callous behaviour at every possible turn.

That's not for me. I remember Devlin breaking a couple of opponents legs during his time here. I'm sure some folk say similar things of him.

I'm not defending Ainsworth - just saying I've seen him dozens of times and only seen one that one shocker. People insist he's an animal, but that's not what I've seen. So who am I to judge?
